LOL...we all know his arms are big enough. ;)

Phreaks arm pale in comparison to Simons huge mutha fargin legs! They are as big as individual fat people. He can't possible buy pants off the rack anywhere.
We're not going to need his Ostrich legs. Since when did a defensive linemen need to wrap his legs around a quarterback

maybe Simon is the smartest guy.  He gets paid 5 million bucks to miss training camp.

His string theory lecture series was the toast of MIT a few months back too.

Someone asked for statistical proof of Simon being great...

How about the highest 4-5 year sack total for a DT in team history? And top 2 or 3 in the league in sacks for DT's since he entered?

Or something that doesn't show up on stat sheets, his constantly being double and even triple teamed, freeing up others on the line to be one-on-one?

I guess he's not that good....Doesn't deservet he money he wants, but I still think it'd be good to keep him and pay him top 8ish money.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You what else doesn't show up in the stat sheets? When a player is obviously underacheiving his potential and has a knack for appearing complacent and lazy.... Coaches can see when guys aren't into it or concentrating. That might be why him and Walker were benched in favor of Hollis and Rayburn"The Mad Trucker" last year. Stats are numbers only, they aren't the end all of judging a player. The Freak had a smallish number of sacks but influenced QBs and the team with his presence alot. How many times do sacks come in bunches or are the result of blocking whiffs and missed assignments? They aren't as important as tackles and general hustle.

his potential and has a knack for appearing complacent and lazy

^^^^
completely false

its amazing how stuff like that gets started...he has never once shown to have been complacent or lazy...he was a little off for about one half season out of his entire career...and that was last year because of the injury...once past that he played close to a probowl level as he always has

if you dont like the fact that hes holding out i can understand that but to completely make-up or believe things that are absolutely not true about the guy as a way of validating your opinion of his holding out is wrong
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

And that's why one of his close buddies on the team (Hugh Douglas) hinted at Corey being a bit lazy in camp....

IGY is just being contrary. No one can possibly think that Simon is actually one of the elite DTs in the league anymore.

When he tries and is in shape and put forth his all, he's a really good pass-rushing DT who is average (at best) against the run and who still thinks he's better than he is. But since he isn't trying right now and won't be in shape he's nothing but a big body who will almost certainly be outplayed by a rookie. Period.
