that's another outstanding show I loved that got cancelled after like 12 episodes...I don't even watch much tv and that's like the 5th show it's happened to me in  the last 7-8 years...I either have the worst luck or the worst taste in tv

I was worried no one could fill Hopkins shoes as Lecter but Mads does something completely different with the character so that it doesn't feel like an imitation.

I'm 6 episodes into Hannibal now that it's on Netflix.  I'm shocked that show aired on nbc.  It's good so far.

Agreed it's pretty gory for a network show. I'm on episode 7 right now, first 5 episodes Hannibal's character was a letdown. I was much more interested in the murders. Now it's getting interesting

Meme culture moves too fast for any cartoon to keep up. South Park almost does it with the help of their fans being farging idiots.

The man. The myth. The legend.

if you're a sci-fi nerd looking for something to watch, try the expanse.  it's on prime...first 3 seasons were on syfy, then prime picked it up for season 4.  surprisingly well done, imo...especially for a syfy original.

You're the 4th person to recommend this but I couldn't get into it...maybe I'll give it another try

it gets really good around the middle of season 1, imo....so push through those first few eps.  :yay

Unsolved Mysteries is back on Netflix.

Without a narrator it just feels like any other Netflix documentary though

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

On a Hamilton kick. Saw it live in October but you don't appreciate the level of detail and subtexts until you've watched it a few times. Not everyone's cup of tea but worth watching at least once.

I loved that show, but it's something that belongs firmly in 1990, with Robert Stack. Not everything has to be revived.

Probably kind of lame in 2020 when a halfway intelligent person can Google the story and find the un-sensationalized, non-mysterious version of events. In 1990 you couldn't find out anything about the UFO stories other than what Bobby Stack was telling you.

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah really.

I used to scare myself shteinless watching that show. Stack's voice and the theme music.

I tried to watch the new one but meh

Munson

I mean, it's been interesting I've thought. The flip side of that internet thing is that it also brings out the internet mob which can drive some action. The story about Alonzo Brooks especially has been getting a ton of attention, the FBI reopened the case last month.

It's just really not the same with Stack, or any narrator at all tbh.

I also was scared of that show when I was little. Theme music as creepy AF :-D
