He caught 36 passes last season as a starter, but now that he's being moved to the slot and the 5th option he's suddenly gonna lead the team in receptions? Not buying it.

My money would be on Ertz having the most receptions. They might only be 8-10 yards but he gets a ton of targets, especially late in the season when he decides to play.

hes not going to be just in the slot....he will be moved all over the place...but mostly he will be in high % target areas...hes better than torrey smith outside and has outplayed matthews this camp inside...doesnt mean he wont flop again and be out of the league next year but im on the side of a bust out year

he just needs to not be a head case....thats admittedly a big if but he has everything else going for him

torrey smith is complete garbage...granted agholar has been terrible thus far but at least he has upside and youth...theres little doubt in my mind that agholar will be better than smith this year

having more receptions than matthews is a reach but theres no argument that he hasnt been better than him this whole offseason

I wouldn't be surprised if Torrey Smith doesn't make the team. On the other hand he offers a dynamic that defenses have to respect, so if he's semi healthy they'll keep him around for that reason.

On a separate note, Smith is only 28. I would have guessed over 30.

Matthews is a proven commodity. I think you're buying too much into the training camp hype. Agholor's a bum.

Torrey Smith was garbage last season, but that was on a team with a completely broken passing game. He's looked fine in camp and gives the team the speed option that the team has lacked since dumping DJax, so I don't understand why they would cut him.

If you're gonna base your opinion solely on Torrey Smith 2016, then yeah I understand...but that's moronic.

He's a bona fide pro WR.  Not a stud, not a number one, but he's pretty good.  Barring injury, he'll start every game this year and by the end his detractors will have to admit that he was alright afterall.

Smith's average, he was once a good receiver but that was 4 years ago. He has the speed dynamic so defenses have to respect that which is not to be underestimated, but I'd put his receptions # around the 40 mark. His YPC is the bigger deal.

even his speed is overrated....hes the fastest eagle wr but he doesnt have elite pimp brandon cooks type juice...at this point in his career you dont even need to put a safety on top of him

and even for the eagles he drops a lot of balls....i cant recall the number but i remember reading last year that he dropped some insane number of the total balls thrown his way....like maybe over 30%...whatever it exactly was it was almost not believable
