it's just preseason so you can't take anything too serious but the thing that jumped out to me much more than anything was how ill prepared the eagles were to even play...Green Bay was so much more professional...on the very first possession doug pederson is running around the sidelines after officials making the holding sign screaming for a call like a fan while McCarthy is stoic faced the whole game saying boys just go out do your farging job like we taught you and get me to week one

matthews is easily replaceable.....finding good corners is not so easy as the eagles have proved for the better part of a decade

plus the money matthews is going to want will be way too high for his talent

i dont like giving up the third cause now they dont pick in the second or third rounds next year (they do have three 4ths)...but player for player this is an obvious howie WIN

I'd be fine with the trade if they hadn't given up a 3rd too. Darby's ok but he's not worth all that.

Agreed overall, but I'm not too concerned about them not having a 2nd or 3rd rounder right now. I can't imagine they go into the draft without having acquired a pick in at least 1 of those rounds. Plenty of time to address that.

This is definitely a good trade for the here and now.

Also guess this means they're going all in on Agholor.  I'd be really excited if it were Ozzie or Hoodie making this call, but Howie and Pederson doesn't give me a warm fuzzy.
