I'm in the same boat. I bought the DVDs, made it a few episodes in, then sold the DVDs to sunny.

There used to be a thread on here. Pretty much everyone was in agreement with how great the show was. I made it a few episodes and decided it wasn't my cup of tea. I wound up selling them to sunny for like $10 less than what I paid for them. This was before the series came on Netflix.

i didnt get the box set but thats pretty much what made me attempt to watch it a few different times...not just here but everywhere critics and friends whose opinions i respect  a lot absolutely went bonkers over it....so i figured i had to try....straight garbage tho

Loved Arrested Development...excellent show -- but it's the running jokes and nuances that make it funny. It's not a casually watch a few episodes thing. It's not about the episodes, it's about the interactions of the characters over time and the small stuff that's easy to miss.

only midway through season 2 right now but yeah, its def a show you have to pay attention to the small stuff on. probably helps that im binge watching it.

anyone watching snowfall?

the whole 80s cia - iran contra - central america - crack epidemic connection is my favorite era to read about so i figured the show would not do the time period justice but 3 eps in it has been really solid.
