The History channel is running a show called World Wars. I only caught half of episode 2 and all of episode 3 but it's definitely worth a watch if you're at all interested in WW2. It's narrated by Jeremy Renner.

watched bordertown(animated) on Netflix, didn't know it was a fox show. thought it was funny, but I guess it failed in the ratings.

The Leftovers finale was excellent.  I'm glad they didn't wrap it up in a neat bow, although they did provide *some* resolutions.

Good stuff.

And no... I don't think they ended it too soon.  Too many shows go on too long.  This one was perfect.

it ended now because lindelof didnt want to do a s3 hoping that he could get a s4...the numbers for the show are terrible so they might not have gotten a s4 and in fact were lucky to get a s3. basically hbo called him, said lets do s3, he said great but this is gonna be it and they were like NO PROBLEMO.

but yes i thought the finale was perfect. so god damn thematically satisfying. i believed nora's story when she was telling it but the further away i get from it the more i think she was lying.

I don't really give a shtein about the plot or the mythology.  Theroux and the rest of the cast chewed up the scripts like they were Chicklets.   Not knowing what the farg was going on was part of the fun for me.  If you want traditional linear story-telling, that was not the show for you. 

In fact my daughter watched the finale with me and said something to the effect that she had no idea what was happening, but it was still amazing to watch. 

That about sums it up for me too.

Just started re-listening to WW1 with Carlin. 

He's amazing.  I've bought and listened to almost all of his podcasts.  So good.
