Anyone seen the previews for this show coming out on FX called Snowfall?  About the rise of the crack or heroin epidemic in LA in the 80s.  Previews look decent enough.  I'll check it out.

recent shows

better call saul - best season yet. michael mckean emmy please.
fargo - great last few eps after a patchy season. still very good overall and but not as good as previous two. might not come back. creator isnt sure if he has another idea....but its ratings are very good and a lock for emmy noms so id imagine the money will be right and therefore hell do another
orange is the new black - interesting season. thought it dragged on just a bit too long but leaves it off at a place where they could go in 100 different directions.
sillicon valley - still funny but the whole dynamic of the show is getting old. tj miller leaving sucks but hopefully they shake it up now.
veep - still amazingly funny but not on the same level as previous seasons. if they turn next season into a giant selena/jonah campaign i am IN.

next show up is GLOW. on netflix. about ladies wrestling in the 80s. described as a ton of fun but wont be challenging the leftovers for best drama.

I made it thru The OA this weekend.  The ending was ridiculous.   I was actually angry which is kinda funny considering it's just a stupid tv show.  Serves me right, I guess.

Finished season 1 of El Chapo. I thought they'd wrap the story up with 9 episodes but like Narcos they're dragging it out for two seasons.

I don't know why I continue to watch TWD because the show is awful and only getting worse. I'm into the whole zombie apocalypse genre so that keeps me somewhat interested.

I was bored over the winter so I binge watched FTWD. It's much worse than TWD (which is saying a lot). The first episode of season 3 the main character (Travis) gets thrown into a pit with no weapons. He picks up a cinder block and fends off 25 walkers. The whole first episode is about his surviving against enormous odds. So they follow that up in the next episode by having him get shot in a helicopter by some random stray bullet within the first 5 minutes. He then throws himself out of the helicopter so he doesn't die and turn and kill everyone. It was so farging lame and a horrible attempt to garner attention and shock value. I didn't bother watching the rest of the episode. The show is a steaming pile of shtein. I'll be shocked if it gets picked up for a season 4.
