Haslam hired him - lol

Also which team does Manziel play for next year? He was out in Vegas and didn't show up for treatment this morning

And it gets better for Browns fans

The new HC will be involved in the hiring of the new GM

The analytics dude is the football ops guy with say over the roster

QB Eagles

Tomsula gone now.

These early announcements are taking a lot of the fun out of Black Monday.

QB Eagles

The Colts are a mess. Can't even figure out whether to fire Pagano, Grigson, both, or neither.

I'm putting my money on the Browns. Unless he manages to punch a woman in the face. Then it's Dallas.

Mainly bc Grigson is staying and that keeps Howie from hiring him

Also because the Eagles no longer have to compete with Andrew Luck to lure a coach.

Now that we've been through a whole season with it, what did you guys think of the PAT change?

Overall, I liked it. I don't see much value in an automatic PAT, and I liked seeing teams take wildly different approaches in when to go for two. It enhances the value of having a good kicker, which I liked since it seemed like the role of the kicker was being diminished with the kickoff change a few years back.

It did lead to some strange scores, and consequentially, some strange lines in Vegas and greater overall unpredictability of final scores. I know that some people who are heavier gamblers than me hated it for this reason. I thought that was just whining, part of being a gambler is adapting to changes in the game. It's not really any harder today than it was back in the day, when kickers missed PATs much more often and you had much less information about the game conditions and injuries. Hell, I'm in a fantasy league that goes back to the 70s, and a guy in our league used to pretend to be a member of the media and call teams around the country to get information prior to kickoff. Gambling is dead simple today in comparison.

I'd rather see the kick off moved back more than I care about the PAT.

The only thing about the PAT that I find a bit annoying is that it's now possible to kick 3 pt FG's at a shorter distance than a 1pt PAT.  Get stuffed on the goal line and you can still walk away with 3 pts from a 17 yard kick, but a 33 yard kick is only worth 1 pt.  Just seems silly.

I don't think it will be long before we start hearing proposals about changing FG scoring....maybe to some sort of tiered system. <30 yds = 1 pt, 30-39 = 2pts, >40 = 3pts....or something goofy like that.  You know that fans/gamblers/fantasy nerds hat seeing their team kick FGs from inside the 10 yard line.  They want tds and higher scoring.  Changing the FG scoring would probably force coaches to adjust strategy a bit.  Would you take a 1 pt kick on 4th down on the 5 yard line, or would you go for the endzone?  If you make it, that's 6pts and if you fail you've pinned your opponent deep.....which is more than what you would do after the ensuing kick off after making your 1pt field goal.
