What do they save by cutting Avant?

Cut Avant/Casey/Chung saves close to $8 million. Casey isn't making much so he might be worth holding onto. They'll probably try to restructure Cole/Celek/Ryans.

I think they keep Ryans at his current number. One of the beat guys said they don't see him being asked as it wouldn't portray well within the Locker room

I'd be fine with Avant as the 4th WR, just not at his current salary. Much rather they get a big WR in the mid rounds who they can groom.

plus money isn't an issue....not a good look to travel around the locker room asking for restructures when you are swimming in money....demeco seems like the kind of leader who would do it if it would help the team get better but thats not the case this year....also they just caked off kkkooper

Avant will be cut for a few reasons...one being, he's not needed.  Kelly can get his possession receiver production out of his TEs.  Casey is cheap and great depth for this part of the game, so I think he'll be kept.

Understandable for both sides. I like Maclin and hope they work out something. Sign him to a two year johnson that pays him decently in his second year if he hits targets this year and his AIDS doesn't flare up again.

I would like to see Maclin catching passes from Foles.  Maclin runs tight routes and DBs respect both his quickness and his speed.  They don't game plan for the guy, but there aren't many teams whose 2nd DB doesn't have his work cut out for him if the number one guy is on Jackson.
