Alex Henery...he's gotta go.

Stud pass rusher

a safety or two

I like the promise they showed this year. Chip's legit and I think with that solid OL, Foles, DeSean, Shady and Ertz they have a nice core offensively.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Vick said after the game he wasn't coming back as a back-up

I would bring back Maclin and Cooper + Coleman, Anderson and Donnie Jones...obviously Thornton since he's a RFA

Vick would come back if no one else wants him as a starter. I hope he finds a job as a starter, but I don't know where he could go.

Both the receivers should come back. No one should be throwing money at a gimpy knee or 47 catches, but you never know. Maybe the taterskins will roll out the limo for a kindred spirit. Or maybe someone will pay him money to be 6'3 and catch a couple dozen passes for 18 yards a piece. Stranger things have happened.

I'd like to see Nate Allen back. Every other defensive player can farg right off.

Jones is a pretty good punter. Might as well keep him until he stops punting good.

My biggest fear tonight was this game was going to come down to Henery.  No one has any faith in this guy's leg.  Keep Jones.

I agree with GF that I could absolutely see some team throwing a boat load of cash at the chandelier Maclin.  I really like Maclin but they need some more beef at WR.  That drop by Cooper will haunt me for the next 8 months.

Thank you Mike Vick for some great memories but its time for the midget to move on.  His future will be interesting to follow.  Won't miss his turnovers and head first slides.

Henery was the 23rd best kicker, percentage-wise, on field goals. From 40 and beyond he was 30th. 21st on kickoff distance, 20th on touchbacks. He's not a very good kicker at all.

My wish list:

1. Stud WR aside pimp, so the shtein that happened tonight doesn't happen again.
2. Legit pass rushers. Hardy anyone?
3. A special teams with a set of balls
4. New kicker or grab an extra need position and we never kick FG's

I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

That is dreadful.  That last kickoff summed it all up.

It will be nice to have a QB take all the first team snaps in the offseason

This.

Draft/FA priorities:

DB
DB
DB
DE/LB who can sack
WR
Some Special Teams players who can actually play ST
Short yardage RB

At the position we're drafting replacing Foles isn't a big priority. If he can play at this year's level next year I won't be complaining.
Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

assuming chipper is here for the long haul a stud qb that fits his offense
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

I'm very confident in the offense moving forward, although it might not be a bad idea to be on the lookout for a LT simply because Peters isn't getting any younger.  Not a high priority, but it's something to keep an eye on.

Defense and Kicker should account for like 98% of the personnel moves this off season.  I'm still not sold on Billy Davis as the DC, but he did an admirable job overall I suppose. Maybe with an extra stud on the d line and safeties who can actually keep guys in front of them, the defense won't be such a liability.

Chipper's 1st season easily exceeded any reasonable expectations. Anyone who predicted 10-6 + Division Champ was probably predicting the very same outcome in 1998 and 99.  Season 2 will be the real test, IMO. Teams have 17 games of film on him now, so will he still be able to keep defenses guessing next year or is he a 1yr wonder?  Will he learn from his rookie mistakes?  One thing I liked seeing was that ever since the Det game, he started putting Foles under center every now and then, especially in some short yardage situations and late in games.

I'm fine with bringing back Maclin and/or Cooper next year, but I think the Eagles only resign 1 and I wouldn't be surprised if they went with Cooper.

Chung and Henery should be tossed off the Ben Franklin. Allen is whatever. I won't shed a tear if he's gone, won't be thrilled if he stays.

I'm fine with Williams, Fletcher, and Boykin moving forward.

A dominating DT or DE is a must.

I really don't think he can run "his" offense in the NFL because the type of QB needed to make it work would get killed. Vick and RGIII type players fit the mold on paper, but when QBs run a lot in the NFL, they get hurt.  Ideally, you'd maybe want a QB with Luck or Alex Smith type mobility, but even then you're still not maximizing the big play ability of Chip's offense because it's not like either of those guys are elite runners.

It's just not possible to run the exact same offense in the NFL and I think Chip knows this.  Could an Alex Smith make it a little more effective because he runs better than Foles?  Sure. But you don't drop Foles to replace him with Smith.  And I think (hope) Kelly has already realized that you don't want your QB running with the ball as much in the NFL as he did in college.
