Glad to hear it with Maclin. Although it wouldn't be a great loss, it would be just one more position to worry about replacing and I could see the Eagles just wanting to offer a prove-it type of contract when Mac would rather take a longer and more secure deal from another team. Getting a 1a type WR in there would be great but it isn't one of the true needs. On the other hand, early projections with the draft look like its setting up nicely that a good WR like Lee or Evans could drop to them.

Maclin is perfect for those underneath routes, he doesn't have the ridiculous football speed to stretch the field like Desean but those 15 yard intermediate routes he's perfect. They needed that type of receiver bad against the Saints. It was way too easy for them to double up on Desean and make him irrelevant. Cooper is just too hit or miss and Ertz I'm not really sold on yet. Still would like a 6'3 230+ guy but unless they're willing to part with an early pick they probably aren't getting one of the top guys in the draft. Maybe they find a diamond in the rough in the mid rounds.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I do think they need a more dynamic receiver since its wait and see with Maclin.  I think that another big play receiver to go opposite of pimp would bring this offense to "another level" and it'll be much easier and cheaper to get that WR than it would be to find the perfect QB.
