that sounds about right, which would fall under the "selig being a loser" part.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

I think he did as well.  I've always wondered if it wasn't a decision based on him just wanting to get out of the AL and into the NL where he felt they had a better chance to compete.

MDS

if they were in the AL central theyd probably be winning that division

Now, yes.  In 1995, no way.

they arent farging anything up. there has to be an even amount of teams in each league and for whatever reason
If there were 15 in each, every day one team in each league would have to have the day off. Either that, or there would be interleague games every day, which i think would lead to some teams playing more interleague than others just because scheduling would be a nightmare. That, and also the MLB doesn't (or didn't) want interleague matchups to be going on the entire year.

buster olney is on baseball tonight sayin houston is the leading candidate to switch leagues...if not them then the marlins
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Houston would make sense because they could go into the AL West as the 5th team and have a really good rivalry with the Rangers.

Florida would be a joke in the AL.  The only "natural" rivalry they'd have is the Rays.  But they'd have to move another team, which ain't happening.  Not to mention that even if you had the Rays and Marlins in the same division, the total attendance for their 18 games head to head probably wouldn't fill either of their stadiums.

SunMo

hopefully if they realign Pittsburgh goes back into the east
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
