Always wanted to see what Rau could do in the regular season.

Surprised they cut Babin with the rest of this season's salary guaranteed. Not that  it matters because they have some equally inept bodies that can take up the slack.

Supposedly Howie met with Chip Kelly recently, although he could've also been there to scout a few players for April (Jordan, Barner)

There's really no short-term answer available. Bring in a vet starter who won't excite anyone, and then draft someone in a middle round and hope he shows he can play at the NFL level. Repeat until either one of the draft picks pays off big, Foles grows into a player, or the Eagles find themselves in a situation to draft or trade for an obvious stud. I don't think the Eagles will be in that position this year but we'll see.

Gotta upgrade the O-line bigtime before allowing another rookie to face his first NFL pass rush through that trash. Even if they got Barkley I wouldn't let him start next year. And Barkley isn't worth making a move to get unless he falls in their lap (and maybe not even then) because he's not a sure bet and the team has so many other needs.
