holy shtein is mcarthy a POS...last night he says victorino wasnt even close to the three feet rule but tonight ankiel was out of the baseline even tho they both were in the exact same place....unreal

I'm less concerned about announcers being homers than I am with umps not being able to make a pretty simple call. However, Sarge is right on though.....take the umps out of the equation. Phils have left 9 on base so far. Knock a few of them in and a bad call or 2 typically won't matter.

call was a good one...he was within the three feet....as was victorino last night...both proper calls but mcarthy goes emphatically one way on one call and emphatically the other way on the other call when both players were in the same spot

I didn't see last night's, so I can't comment on it one way or the other. What I do know is that Ankiel didn't slide anywhere near the bag and didn't even attempt to touch it until after he slid passed it.
