is the team option "tradable" or would that be voided if a deal were made to move him?  either way, i'm thinking that if traded, he would want a new contract.  the only reason we probably heard much of him wanting a new contract is because he wants out of cincy.....so asking for a new contract would be kind of rediculous.

what makes you think the front office would even entertain such a negotiation...

I think it's unlikely

The time between when remaining free agents have the appeal of turds in a punchbowl and the dawning day of another underwhelming draft is sublime.

This guy is on a roll today:

ESPN's Michael Smith reports that the Eagles have "engaged in serious discussions" with the Bills about LT Jason Peters.

edit: Peters name was brought up last night on NFL Live by Smith with Ocho as the other pick up already discussed

at least he making a statement and not some vague the eagles MIGHT go for ocho IF he becomes available...and the only evidence given for this happening is that the eagles are always in need of a wr

in this case hes saying it as a matter of fact

Kirwin and Tim Ryan on NFL radio today were saying the #28 pick might not be enough but maybe the 21 pick would be (doesn't seem to be a huge difference to me). They said he had an off year in '08 but would still be worth it. The big problem as they saw it, is apparently he wants some huge elite LT money and that would be very tough to get from a team also giving up a first rounder. If I heard them right  they liked Peters better than any of the OTs in the upcoming draft.

Further south Chad, if you really want to come to Philly.

The Bills are looking for a first and a third. Peters himself is looking for a monster deal wherever he goes ($60 million long-termer). The Eagles are still the primary team being floated.
