QuoteTila Tequila, the reality TV star who accused Shawne Merriman of domestic violence last weekend, said via her Twitter feed that she will meet with the San Diego County district attorney's office on Friday.

QuoteThe tweet from Tequila's account that said she would meet with the district attorney, which is verified by Twitter but is not guaranteed to have been written by her, was part of a string of tweets Thursday morning. She started by writing "I will never be a VICTIM of anything. So when someone lays a hand on me then lies. Its on." She followed that up with more than 30 updates in the next hour, including accusing Merriman of lying in his statements to the media about her.

"Damage control. Blame Tila. Make her look bad. Send it out to the media so they don't [sic] believe her! Quick! Cover it up!," she wrote, according to the Twitter feed.

30 tweets in an hour?  what the hell could happen every 2 farging minutes that you need to tell the world about it?  this bitch needs to get over herself.

QuoteMerriman and Tequila have exchanged charges and countercharges on their Twitter accounts.

record for twitter references in an article?

i seriously farging skull farg hate this whole twitter farging phase.  i'd like to say that i can't wait until it's over and we've moved beyond it, but that probably means that the world has given it up for something even more awful.

and if merriman did actually choke her out, then farg him for not finishing the job.  farging hoyda.

nah, i just really hate how journalists are constantly taking things that are posted on twitter and then reporting it as news.  especially when it comes to celebs.  i guess twitter takes certain precautions to make sure that the profile belongs to the person it's said to, but at the same time, you know damn well that celebs aren't posting everything themselves.  they have people doing it for them.

not to mention that i hate how social networking sites like this either make some talentless skank famous, or helps keep them in the spotlight after their 15 minutes are up.  or in the case of tila tequila, both.

QuoteDistrict Attorney Bonnie Dumanis on Friday dismissed reality TV star Tila Tequila's accusations that San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman choked her and threw her to the ground early Sunday while she was trying to leave his suburban home.

Merriman was arrested after Tequila signed a citizen's arrest warrant accusing Merriman of battery and false imprisonment. Both are felonies.

Dumanis decided not to charge Merriman after her office spent three days reviewing reports from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

"After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009, incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed," Dumanis said in a statement. "This case is now closed. No further comment will be made."

QuoteHassan Jones pleads no contest to attacking daughter
Posted by Michael David Smith on November 23, 2009 3:31 PM ET
Former Vikings receiver Hassan Jones pleaded no contest to aggravated assault in an incident in which he was accused of attacking his daughter, the St. Petersburg Times is reporting.

Jones agreed to probation and anger management counseling, the Times reports.

Jones was charged in July with dragging his daughter on concrete and grabbing her by the throat, and with threatening both his wife and his daughter with a golf club.

Defense attorney Douglas Prior said, "It was an unfortunate situation that everyone involved wishes never happened."

Jones spent seven years with the Vikings (1986-92) and one with the Chiefs (1993). He pleaded no contest to a charge of domestic battery in 1996, and he was charged with drunk driving in 2006.

I'd definitely be watching this guy's emails.

A restraining order, not an arrest, but hideous if true

QuoteWoman says Suggs hit her, spilled bleach on her
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 8, 2009 1:38 PM ET
Last week a restraining order was issued against Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs. Today the Baltimore Sun has published the ugly details of that restraining order, in which a woman who says she's the mother of Suggs' children claims he hit her, knocked her down, and spilled bleach on her while threatening her with it.

The woman, Candace Williams, identifies herself as Suggs' fiancee and the mother of his two children, although Suggs told the Baltimore Sun he is not in a relationship with her.

Williams said Suggs threw a soap dispenser at her head, hit her in the chest with his hand, and held a bottle of bleach over her and her 1-year-old son. According to Williams, Suggs said he was going to "drown [her] with this bleach." She says she put her hands over the cap, but the bleach spilled onto her and her son.

Suggs has not been charged with a crime. He is not commenting publicly on the allegations.

Ravens vice president Kevin Byrne noted that Suggs "will have his chance to tell his side of the story."

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the NFL will "take a look at it as we would any such matter to try to understand the facts."

NFL Mascots Arrested - 2009

QuoteMan who plays Pats mascot arrested in prostitution sting
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on December 11, 2009 7:31 PM ET
A man who plays New England's professional football mascot has been arrested for soliciting someone to pat his patriot.

The Rhode Island State Police announced a slew of recent arrests for prostitution-related crimes.  The list includes 47-year-old Robert Sormanti, who is one of the several people who don the outfit of the Patriots mascot.

"The Pat Patriot mascot costume is worn by multiple people, each of whom are held responsible and accountable for their actions. The individual in question has been suspended," the team said in a statement Friday night. "The mascot responsibilities will continue to be fulfilled by others."

The arrest of Sormanti and 13 others are the first since Rhode Island's governor closed a loophole that made "indoor prostitution" legal.

The real victims here are the other unlucky guys and gals who dress as Pat Patriot.  Sormanti just guaranteed them Sundays filled with sarcastic, heckling jokes.

So maybe things won't be that different.
