FAIL

Actually, it was a success.  :P If I really get going on how I really feel, I won't finish til mid-November. Also, I had to include little comments like "I know they have to look towards the future", because if I just bashed the Kolb pick I can guarantee there would be at least one, if not many sages who would come back with something stupid like, "The have a responsibility to protect themselves", and my favorite, the condesending shaman who says "Well you know McNabb can't play forever." Because I am that stupid and I need it pointed out to me.

Since he only posts like once every 6 months these days, he obviously has a lot of catching up to do.

After 5 weeks the Eagles are at #9 overall for the 2008 draft.

Might as well trade down with one of those needy teams. The Eagles already have a solid core of young talent, or so we've been told.

Eagles open as a 3-pt favorite vs the Jets, O/U = 42

Disclaimer Alert: I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I was on the WYSP post game caller segment and gave the greatest hits of my frustration. As always it starts at the top, not just Reid. In the mid 90's Lurie & co took over and their mission statement said something to the effect of "Fielding a competitive team every year". Glorious. For better or worse the team is Donovan, then everyone else. My watershed moment was April's draft (I'm sure it's been discussed to death here but I haven't been around). Our "committed to winning" front office traded the pick to farging DALLAS, and they draft an impact player whose sole purpose is to vaporize our QB twice a year. McNabb's days here are numbered, and I understand the FO has to think long term, but for christ's sake, we've still got a hell of a nucleus here, including McNabb. So our 1st pick comes up, and instead of getting him some help, I don't know, maybe a reciever. NOPE. We draft HIS REPLACEMENT! Awesome, we got an impact player who will impact the shtein out of the bench for 2-3 years. Sometimes this year feels like '03 all over again. A receiving corps that is mediocre at best. Having their moments, but overall getting schooled. Last year Stallworth looked good and people had to gameplan against him. Yeah, injuries..... And Banner seemed shocked to find that people had a problem with letting him walk. And besides, we got KEVIN CURTIS! A terrifying weapon indeed. And BTW how's Stallworth doing with those nagging injuries anyway? It's the same damn thing every year with these people, Donovan needs weapons, so let's get some so-so WR's and HOPE they step up the way we HOPE they will. I can't ignore the way NE runs their show. Dillon's out there. GET HIM. Moss is out there, got him. etc... I can go on and on. Our goal is to be competitive, their's is to win it every f@*%ing year. Yes, I'm pissed. And I hope by negativity gets shoved back down my throat. It just feels like this conservative pholosophy is finally catching up with them. They've been lucky and luck runs out.....   Personally, what's worst for me is that I can feel myself start to care less and less.....

Don't worry.  They're not making the playoffs this year.

What's worse is there is a distinct possibility that all the other NFC East teams will.

Dude there is no way the Giants are making the playoffs!!

What if Jim Fassel guarantees it?
