I just read Spadaro's article about fan positivity, and it made me so farging irritable I logged on to the EMB to write Dave a nastygram.
Now I feel filthy.  And I'm still pissed.
I hate this freaking team.
Anyone but Reid.

Thanks, MMH, you just made me go and look at his article.

I think I just lose 25 IQ points.  :-D

I always figure McNabb trimmed his pubes.

I thought all the girls waxed their vaginas these days?
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

I tried, and there just isn't a single thing you can find positive  about this team right now.

They just plain suck donkey ass. They're baaaaaaaaaad, and it's mostly because of coaching.

And we are stuck with Andy Reid.

QuoteBut I have faith that Andy Reid has the right formula to get the Eagles back on track. I have faith that a roster I watched come together every day in training camp, is going to stick together and step up its collective game. I have faith that the team's leaders, from Donovan McNabb to Brian Westbrook to William Thomas to Brian Dawkins, will make sure to address the urgency of the situation when the team reconvenes on Monday

Now that, my friends, is a homer. The Ultimate Homer. The Homernator, Homerboner, Homerhomo.

Having faith in Andy Reid to run the ball is like waiting for the second coming. You'll not see it in this lifetime.

Don Ho

dave spadaro or tony robins?

the problem is the damn teams surprises us by playing great one week, letting Andy off the hook, and then gargles a load the nxt week. it goes on all season and then we somehow slip into the playoffs, being in the shtein can of the NFC . Reids gets lucky cause they made the playoffs. the FO is happy cause they make that much more money. we again are left with blue balls. can't wait for nxt week  :boom

Don't worry.  They're not making the playoffs this year.

What's worse is there is a distinct possibility that all the other NFC East teams will.

Reid on job rumors: 'Are you kidding me?'
Jay Glazer / FOXSports.com

After the Eagles got thrashed by the Giants last Sunday night, rumors quickly arose and ran rampant that Philly head coach Andy Reid would step down prior to the end of this season. Speculation was that due to legal trouble brought on by two of Reid's sons, the coach would step down because he couldn't keep his focus in the right place.

Stories and rumors spread but all without ever having Reid's position on the matter...until now.

"The only way I don't finish up coaching this year is if I die," an emphatic Reid told FOX Sports. "Are you kidding me? I don't know where this story came from, how it started, but it couldn't be any further from the truth. I am definitely not stepping away!

"It's amazing how this story came up and then got legs, but there's no way."

Reid took a day during his bye week to step out to Atlantic City for a much-needed respite in order to recharge his batteries. Batteries that he says are far from dying.

"The one thing I've learned throughout this whole thing is that I'm not alone in dealing with family issues," said Reid. "There are people who own businesses, run corporations, and they have problems too but don't walk away. Everyone has family or personal issues, but they don't quit their jobs."

Joy.
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

MDS

he is as stubborn as they come. hes not going anywhere.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Well, considering his physique, death is a possibility at any time.

there is no possible way he spoke in any tone of voice that led itself to exclamation points

Exactly. If only he got that worked up about his team sucking ass.

Disclaimer Alert: I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I was on the WYSP post game caller segment and gave the greatest hits of my frustration. As always it starts at the top, not just Reid. In the mid 90's Lurie & co took over and their mission statement said something to the effect of "Fielding a competitive team every year". Glorious. For better or worse the team is Donovan, then everyone else. My watershed moment was April's draft (I'm sure it's been discussed to death here but I haven't been around). Our "committed to winning" front office traded the pick to farging DALLAS, and they draft an impact player whose sole purpose is to vaporize our QB twice a year. McNabb's days here are numbered, and I understand the FO has to think long term, but for christ's sake, we've still got a hell of a nucleus here, including McNabb. So our 1st pick comes up, and instead of getting him some help, I don't know, maybe a reciever. NOPE. We draft HIS REPLACEMENT! Awesome, we got an impact player who will impact the shtein out of the bench for 2-3 years. Sometimes this year feels like '03 all over again. A receiving corps that is mediocre at best. Having their moments, but overall getting schooled. Last year Stallworth looked good and people had to gameplan against him. Yeah, injuries..... And Banner seemed shocked to find that people had a problem with letting him walk. And besides, we got KEVIN CURTIS! A terrifying weapon indeed. And BTW how's Stallworth doing with those nagging injuries anyway? It's the same damn thing every year with these people, Donovan needs weapons, so let's get some so-so WR's and HOPE they step up the way we HOPE they will. I can't ignore the way NE runs their show. Dillon's out there. GET HIM. Moss is out there, got him. etc... I can go on and on. Our goal is to be competitive, their's is to win it every f@*%ing year. Yes, I'm pissed. And I hope by negativity gets shoved back down my throat. It just feels like this conservative pholosophy is finally catching up with them. They've been lucky and luck runs out.....   Personally, what's worst for me is that I can feel myself start to care less and less.....
