The best part was when Michaels said something like, "Maybe a few years down the line, Winston Justice will be ready to block Umeniyora, but he's certainly not ready now."

I put the entire blame on abandoning the run game too early, as usual.  Buckhalter's running all over the Giants, so the Eagles pass on 3 straight downs and stall... SMART.  I remember a drive quite some time ago (obviously) when Rodney Hampton carried the ball all the way down the field and scored a TD on the Eagles.  Buckhalter could have done that, but instead Reid had to go back to the pass.

I did notice Mohrninweg calling plays again at the end of the game.  Not that it matters now, but why in hell did Reid ever take back playcalling?  Oh yeah.. he's a pompous fat piece of shtein.

im starting to wonder if he ever really gave it up. i think he gave mohrninweg some credit or whatever but i think having garcia in forced him to chance just a lil bit and he credited that chance to his coodinator.

he seems to think that mcnabb is the mcnabb of 2004 with the WRs of 2004.

it still makes me sick that the pats gave up a 4rth round pick for Moss. and we have a team that loves to pass but hates to go out and get WRs.

On Justice:

Quote"He will learn from it, that's what he will do," said head coach Andy Reid. "You're not going to win a lot of football games in the National Football League playing the way we played. ... It wasn't one guy. It starts with me, putting guys in the right protection (schemes) and giving them some help. I didn't do a very good job of that."

What is this? Proving a lesson?

Step down Andy. Its not irony that your mind is somewhere else, its fact. Swallow your pride and face it because you cant handle home and here

its not really that shocking really. justice is his draft pick and im sure just like with pinkston and mitchell he wants to hold on to his picks forever. im not giving on justice completely but any other coach would have helped him out but reid loves this tactic of trying to leave the player out there and to learn while the game is going on.

he does this with mcnabb too....hes hurt and not healthy so they keep passing. justice cant block so he doesnt offer him any help.

Yeah, well..this is not basketball. Hes not Phil Jackson of the Bulls and never will be. He won championships

If I see Reid on an infomercial laying on his belly doing yoga, then I'll be convinced the  Eagles can turn it around.

Until then, get the boy some help

Well... it's really not that big a deal when you think about it.

I mean... Justice was making his first NFL start against one of the league's better pass rushers and he was only protecting McNabb's blind side.  And we all know that McNabb is pretty much invulnerable so it's no big deal if he gets hit repeatedly from behind.  Besides, the Eagles only passed like 8 times in the game so it's not as if Osi would have that many opportunities to get to McNabb.

This was actually the PERFECT scenario to see if Justice had what it took to take on a top pass rusher 1 on 1.

I'm actually more sick of Andy Reid's post-game "I have to do a better job" or "I have to put the players in a better position" bullshtein than anything else in Philadelphia sports by far.

Go to hell, Andy.  For Mormons, that means only one wife, I think.

You ain't lying.  How many times do we have to hear that generic bullshtein?

Game after farging game, he's doing dumb shtein that cripples this team's chances of winning.

you know damn well the reporters are cringing and a split second away from throwing their tape recorders at his farging face when he says that garbage

MadMarchHare

His tired spiel wouldn't be so bad if he meant it.  But, since little ever changes, he clearly doesn't give a shtein.

Christ, McNabb is the franchise player.  You can't just sit back and watch him get murdered for 4 quarters.
Anyone but Reid.

1) Stop it with blaming Andy for calling plays - he wasn't even holding a chart last night.  Marty ball is a complete failure.  After his tenure in Detroit, are we really surprised?  Dare we compare him to Dana Bible?

2) WTF, I thought this was the west coast offense, not the run and shoot - what happened to 3 and 5 step drop, plant and throw?  You know, timing routes?

3) Donny boy, how many times do you have to get chased down from behind before you realize that you don't have the speed you used to have.  Check down or throw it away.  After the 6th or 7th sack the light should have gone on that you weren't going to "make something happen".

4) I've said it before - if Andy takes personal responsibility for every loss, when is he held accountable?  What are the consequences?

5) Westbrook is injury prone.  It may not be a physical "he's got a weak knee joint" type of injury prone, but I think that a player's style of play can stress their body in ways that the body can't handle it.

At this point, I don't see them winning another division game.  Between losses against the teams and a rough 50% against the mediocre/bad teams left on the schedule, this season is looking like a 5-11 bust.  Bad enough to be embarrassing, but too good to get a top 5 pick.  Typical.  Now would be a good time for a coaching transition.

but too good to get a top 5 pick

That'll almost be a good thing. Them blowing that top five pick on someone would anger me well after Reid and Co. were ushered out. I could see them passing on that can't miss WR/RB/LB to take some lower rated tackle who's their kind of guy.

Blow this farging thing up this bye week.

We're blaming Reid because he's the head coach, and this awful playcalling has been around for a long time, much longer then Marty Ball.

I find it interesting that Ray Didinger on CSN last night said that he feels it is valid to question whether the off the field problems are catching up to Reid.

I agree with you on this, but there are still those who are saying that play calling should be given over to Marty.  This has already been done, and it doesn't help - so get over it.

Play calling should be given to an entirely new set of coaches this off season, though I'm pretty happy with Jim Johnson's defense despite the injuries this season.

Launch AR into the sun if the technology is sufficient to create enough thrust. Maybe they can win in-spite of him? This team should not have lost last night, injuries or not. farging horrilble. One of the worst ever. God I farging hate the gap even more.  :fire  :=)
