Can we please get back to talking about Andy Reid's gun toting, heroin shooting, bullying sons?

Sheepfargers aren't going to get Andy off the sideline...these two little shteinheads just might.

The jersey you bought last year is going to pay for the Reids' legal fees.

The man. The myth. The legend.

of course you agree with him, you were mouth farging it from the front

Forcing a sheep to perform fellatio on me would be disrespectful to the sheep. When I make love to animals, I only enjoy it when they give themselves to me freely.

BTW, here's the kind of gun that Britt Montana had:

I own one jersey and I got it free.  I did get a knit Eagles hat for Christmas tho.

Andy should a release a statement that simply says

"I know, my son is a farging moron and I suck as a parent because I'm too busy losing NFC Championships and penny pinching my way to playoff losses."
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteDuring the search of Britt Reid's SUV (the GMC Denali, Pennsylvania registration FVW-6293), police seized:

a small, clear container with white powder;

and a CVS Pharmacy pill bottle in Britt Reid's name containing a green, leafy substance.

Man, I gotta switch to CVS

And if you get confused after nodding out, you'll be able to tell it's yours because..get this!!...it's got your name on it!!

A couple of points of clarification:

  • Pennsylvania doesn't require registration of handguns. Or any gun, for that matter.
  • Having a gun in the car, unloaded, and packed for transport, is perfectly legal.
  • Producing (or carrying) a loaded handgun without a permit, is illegal.
  • Individuals can obtain carry permits (different from a concealed weapon permit) from their county sherriff, provided they fall within specific guidelines.

Reid didn't have a carry permit, which is the crux of one of the charges. Pointing a handgun at someone is assault, and given the verbal tone of the exchange, is probably where the "terroristic threat" issue comes into play.

Garrett Reid's blood test came back positive for Heroin. He will be charged with DUI later this week.

I relish watching rich, religious, "upstanding" people self destruct.  Suck it, Reid.

Actually I feel a bit sorry for Reid and his wife. Say what you want about his personality, some things I wouldn't disagree with. But unlike Dungy and all the other Christian Uber Alles dudes who use the NFL platform at every turn to tout their beliefs, AR doesn't flaunt his faith publicly. For all we know, he may be suprisingly humble about his religion. And regardless, I gotta believe this is a painful and humbling ordeal for him. Personally I wish him well.

So, let me get this straight:

For an athlete or coach to "give God the glory" is flaunting his faith publicly.

For a poster to come here and blast everything Christian, to repeatedly and often profanely call it superstition and refer to all adherents as idiots, is free speech.

Am I on target with this summation?

'Holic isn't using a public platform such as being a professional sports athlete/coach to thank his atheism for his athletic abilities and saying that he wouldn't be where he is today if he didn't hate Catholics. Which I think is what his point is in this thread. Reid, despite being what many of us think a very religious man, isn't up at the podium talking about "by the grace of god" and all that bullshtein that a lot of other guys talk about.

But that being said....One of the Reid sons turned himself in today, and I think Andy did the right thing not being there to walk him in. You can hate Reid all you want, but I think it's the right thing to do. Tell your son he's a grown man, he's done grown man things, and now he has to own up to it himself like a grown man. I'm sure Andy could easily pull some strings or something, but instead he's saying "You're old enough to know you shouldn't be doing shtein like that, and now that you have, you gotta deal with the concequences."

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Not exactly. Although Dungy probably isn't the best example, and the NFL isn't as bad as it used to be, I just don't people with an agenda trying to sell me their religion when I don't want to buy. I have no problem with their faith, I just don't want to be hit over the head with it as if I'm wrong for not thinking the same way.

But for a more in depth discussion, you can check out the 250response/3000views in < 48hrs thread on this here:

I'd share more about my personal faith and beliefs but it is getting late and this is cutting into my porn time.
