The big thing Obama has done? Divided this nation by making the have-nots believe that anybody who has been successful has done so at their expense, that anything they've accumulated has been stolen, not earned.

the nation has been divided by fox news and the right wing by being able to brainwash bitter elder whites like you into believing obama has done this...admittedly it doesnt take much

unless of course you can cite some independant source that proves barry has intentionally done this and explain how he pulled it off

and please tell me you have something more than the speech where he said that individualism AND community help people succeed

Are you kidding me? How about the constant talk, just here alone, about the big evil corporations who for years have stolen money from the hard working American? I know theres hundreds of quotes I could dig up, but it's Saturday.

I love how everything that has ever gone wrong at any moment the last four years is always the Repub's fault. It never fails. If it ain't Bush it's Fox news.

Baaaaaaaaa!

Well, the right has held the Presidency for 20 of the last 32 years and the 8 years Clinton was in office there was no deficit spending...in fact there was a surplus. The spending and debt started with Reagan, so wouldn't it be logical to blame the right?

No, SD.  They'll blame the tax & spend liberals in Congress during that time.  When it's an all-Republican legislative & executive slate, they'll blame the dark & yellow "terrorists" abroad for ramping up spending (BETTER TO FIGHT THEM ON THEIR SOIL THAN OURS!).  Then when a Democrat is in office they'll bitch about the deficit and culture wars.

Oh, and Shorebird... give it a rest, dude.  Your trolling is unbearable.

From your own link. Reaganomics vs. Rubinomics

QuoteAfter two decades of back and forth, with partisans on both sides hurling invective at one another, the best that can be said is that the two philosophies seem to have fought each other to a draw. Measured by growth and jobs, both have worked much better than their opponents predicted -- but not the way their supporters expected.

QuoteIn fact, the real story of the Clinton years is something the supporters of Rubinomics never expected -- the technology boom of the late 1990s. Although average business investment during the boom years was not exceptional, the Information Revolution helped trigger big gains in productivity and growth as early as 1996. That's not something Clinton's economists saw coming or even expected to continue: the 1997 Economic Report of the President, released in February of that year, predicted that growth would average a meager 2.2% over the next four years. The actual growth rate turned out to be 3.9%.

Given today's intensely partisan political atmosphere, it's ironic that the economic record of the past two decades favors neither Reaganomics nor Rubinomics. History shows that it's possible to have a sustainable boom with high deficits, as Reagan did, just as it's possible to have a sustainable boom with higher taxes, as Clinton did. Taxes and deficits do matter -- they just don't matter as much as the ideologues would have us believe.

The falsehood that Reganomics were bad for the economy is a load of crap fed to the people by a biased, liberal media.

There's no such thing as the poor.  They're just lazy & unwilling to work for a living.  They're much more content to let the rich do all the heavy lifting.  Well, not actual lifting... just being lifting "job creators".

If you want to tell someone what to post then do it in the proper forum, like maybe...the NO HIPPOS forum?!? Otherwise, STFU.

SD

I know, the evil liberal media is at it again.

Clinton had a surplus while he was in office while this mess with borrowing and spending money we don't have begun with Reagan. Clinton created more jobs and borrowed less. Is that fact even up for debate?

I posted off of your own link and still you ignore the facts.

I believe this, you can't spend your way out of a deficit or recession. Cutting government spending is the best way to decrease the deficit. But liberals want more and more government, more taxes, and thats not going to do it.
