my life has not changed at all under bush to obama. the only difference is barry is 1000000000000000x cooler and a much more tolerable representative. middle class people largely stay the same no matter who is in power and i see no way in which i will not be somewhere in the middle class. so why bother.

im not gonna lose sleep over my president believing one way about abortion or gun control.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Don't you need to be employed to get into the middle class?

You guys are truly proving my point.

The only hope this country has is hoping the next generation of politicians that's in their 20's now get sick of all the crap just mentioned and when they get into power in 10-15 years, actually take the time to work with one another. Another reason why the younger crowd needs to get out and vote and get some of these old cold war fossils out of office.

you're putting way too much faith in the youth of today.

haha...munson IS the youth of today...which is pretty much why we are farged

You won't have to look very hard if something new happens, that's for sure.

The Dems have three options.

1. Scrap it and start over. This will absolutely KILL them politically. The Republicans will still be able to beat them up over it and they won't have any reform in existence to refute the Republican attacks. It will just be the Republicans strutting around bragging about how they saved the world from socialized medicine.

2. Use reconcilliation to force it through the Senate after a compromise bill has been hammered out. This will only marginally kill them politically, if they can even get the reconcilliation votes needed. It will look like they were more interested in ramming legislation through than being the smallest bit thoughtful. Though, it will be much better than option one as they will be able to point to the benefits that reform provides and therefore have a counter-attack.

3. Pelosi can shut her whore mouth and rally House Dems behind the Senate bill and vote that through. This is far and away the best option, not least of all because the Senate bill is a more centrist bill.

QuoteValerie Jarrett had the most conservative count, saying "the Recovery Act saved thousands and thousands of jobs," while David Axelrod gave the bill the most credit, saying it has "created more than – or saved more than 2 million jobs." Press Secretary Robert Gibbs came in between them, saying the plan had "saved or created 1.5 million jobs."

He seems to be talking big right now, it would be nice if he actually did it.
