I read about that org chart and I'm fairly certain that the GOP actually created it.

I'm not suggesting that whatever Democratic plan gets floated is the one we should go with. I'm suggesting that this is something that needs to happen for the security of our country's future and all of the ludicrous misinformation and right-wing hysteria involved in halting progress on it is terrifying and reckless. This is something that absolutely has to happen and the Right is doing their damnedest to stop it, including creating org charts to make some sort of obscure point about how terrible the government is. The government that they work for and are partially tasked with making function properly... it's absurd.

And actually, just to expand a little further. The Democratic plan sucks right now. They are promising conflicting things. Cutting costs, universal coverage and the ability to keep the coverage you have. That strategy was designed to get yawning approval from everyone but instead has clouded the issue. It doesn't help that the super-liberals in congress have once again been asked to draft the plan.

My point is that the Right should be weighing in loudly with alternatives and adjustments. Instead the loudest sound we hear is screams of 'socialism' and jingoistic mobs at town hall meetings and declarations that health care reform will result in euthanization of our elderly. It's idiotic.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Limbaugh's about as relevant as the Republican Party is now.  The only people who listen to that laughable piece of shtein are bigots, racists, and fat cats who are scared that the big bad negro in the White House is gonna steal their money and bang their daughters.

farg him and his ridiculousness.

And bang their daughters to teach them a lesson.

I haven't read this yet but the headline was fascinating enough to justify a post.

Funny, but imo it seems the dems are more rattled by the outcry and dissent at the town hall meetings. It's ok when Acorn, Unions and others were rallying for the president and them before the elections. But now the same actions and rallys are called mobs and accused of being nazi's because they don't support the dems. The President and the dems are using good old fashioned Chicago politics, smear and call out the unions to smack people around and shut them up .

also this gem:

Quote"I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed 'fishy' or otherwise inimical to the White House's political interests," Cornyn writes

Quote"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

Big brother at its finest.

What's wrong with trying to dispel lies being perpetrated by lobbyists for the insurance industry?   And LOL @ you for defending those scum bags in the guise of defending free speech.

Butchers Bill

Is anyone really surprised Limbaugh pulled out the Hitler reference?  I mean, the leftists did it for 8 years under Bush.  There are idiots on both sides.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.
