what i dont understand is the neverending focus on his race?  He's 50/50, but people only refer to him as african american?

Chocolate News on the Comedy Channel had a funny bit on this the other day.  Basically they said that if you have a problem with Obama because he is black, just vote for the white half of him.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Thats why I hate the term African American (or Asian, Hispanic, whatever).  It was made up by some white icehole to be PC and alleviate race guilt.  No one looks at the majority of white people and says, oh he/she must be German American or Welsh/Irish American.

You're either American or you aren't.  Do you have your citizenship?  You do, well then you're American, period.

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

The left should point out that the GOP tends to want to distribute wealth to the upper tax brackets for trickle down effect and the Dems tend to want to distribute wealth to the lower tax brackets. Either way they both practice "wealth distribution" and they're both socialistic fargwads.

If only there were a way to tax people fairly and efficiently, while promoting productive business and sustainable job growth...  IF ONLY!

Let me know when you find one that seems to work. Bush tax cuts were a farce. By Obama's plan I'll be getting a $1500 a year tax cut. By McCain's it's more like $200. farg all the rest of the issues. I'm a money lover too!!

I'd support a flat tax with no deductions.  Is that what you are talking about?  McCain certainly isn't...
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

You would support a flat tax, but your second choice is going further from the flat tax than we currently are?

That makes sense.

You can't forget the deductions part - keep in mind that more than 50% of businesses pay zero tax.  None.  The rich can bury huge amounts of money in tax shelters.  Microsoft has a license to print money by "donating" software that doesn't have any incremental cost or scarcity.

Letting Bush's tax cuts expire takes things backward a step to help pay for all the money Bush spent.  A lot of people made a lot of money off of the series of bubbles which put us in the current crisis (blame aside).  It seems fair to me that those who profited most are the ones who should have to pay the piper now that it collapsed.

So, in absence of creating a plan to tax people fairly, Obama is going to roll back "loopholes," give free money to low-income people, and increase a lot of ancillary taxes like the estate tax and capital gains tax to "catch up?"

It just seems counter-intuitive.  Obviously, Obama does not share your views on creating a flat tax.

Geez, he doesn't know the difference between Sanford and Son, and The Jeffersons?

All those who won't vote for him because he's black can rest easy, Homer Simpson is more black than Obama.

Where have you been? Is it October of 2008? Obama's tax plan has been out for years now.
