Biden drops tax cut line from $250k/year to $150k/year
There is no way the Obama camp can screw it up this late in the game, is there?

This sounds just like someone with an agenda, who will say anything to get elected, and lies so much that he can't remember the lies he tells. If they can drop like that a week before the election, how can you take anything they have said up to this point seriously?

I'll tell you whats going to happen, when Obama gets elected and screws up with his share the wealth finance plan, he'll do just what he's done in his campaign and turn around to blame everything on Bush.

ATV

There's nothing more in life I'd like to see than Repubelicans getting their hopes up for this election. They've earned 1000 years of bad karma and this would make for a good start.

Diomedes

I'd kinda like to see McCain win so we can really see the shtein hit the fan.  He'd be better than Bush sure, but not by much, and President Palin would be hilarious in a civil war kind of way.

Campbell Brown of CNN:  Obama's campaign dishonest on campaign finance

I have a lot of respect for Campbell Brown, but checking "yes" on a questionnaire hardly constitutes a campaign promise.

QuoteObama camp not checking sources of donations

How misleading is that headline - the article itself acknowledges that the campaign is combing the books for bad contributions.  There have been numerous examples of Obama returning campaign donations.  I personally got a call from the Obama campaign to get my passport number so they could confirm that I was eligible to donate.

Again, digging for something - anything to hit Obama on.  Maybe they are fighting the "bias" label.

You had me worried there, thought Biden might have had a real foot-in-mouth moment, as he is certainly capable.  Then I saw it was the New York Post...

Here's the actual quote:
Quote"What we're saying is, that $87 billion tax break doesn't need to go to people making an average of $1.4 million," Biden said.

"It should go to middle-class people, people who make $150,000 a year."

It is clear he is using $150k as an example, in contrast to $1.4M.  He was not redefining Obama's tax plan.  This "story" is a huge reach.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Ex-subprime bank executive finances Obama

Billionaire raises millions for Obama while patrons of her bank are left with nothing.

This is as legitimate as guilt by association can get.  Bad call by Obama.

Ok, now who are all those lobbyists working for McCain?  McCain FTW in the "Anything you can do, I can do worse" competition.

Everyone that pays a nickel in taxes will see their taxes go up under Obama.  Book it.

Taxes are going to get hiked somewhere, regardless of who is president.

After eight years of reckless spending and even more reckless tax cuts I'd say that's a fair assumption.  Blaming Obama for that, though, is kinda silly.

The likelihood of them going up under McCain is smaller than that of Obama, but I understand where you are coming from.  More than likely what will happen, regardless of who wins, is that the Bush tax cuts will "expire" under the Democratic leadership of congress.

Obama has to be better than Bush is a conventional belief.  Not really, when "things can't get any worse they unfortunately can/do".  Bush's place in history is "etched in stone" as a disgrace.  Obama may take us to new lows.  Obama's doesn't like the way the Constitution and Bill of Rights were written (he doesn't like the idea that they protect us from the government and they doen't have the governments duty for the people spelled out..healthcare, housing, college education, jobs, etc.), lets see how he does.  Will any of his supporters post here in four years..only the brave.

Not blaming Obama, and I agree with you for the most part.  What I have a problem with is his campaign promise of only people making more than 250k will see an increase.  It's a load of BS.

Higher capital gains taxes are great to promote increases in our markets, though.  And poor people in ghettos don't invest in the market anyway, so WIN WIN!
