The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

He's a taterskin fan who has so much man love for Joe Gibbs that he can't even admit to himself he's still a taterskin fan. On a message board scale, he's lower than whale crap. He'd have to reach up and stand on his tip toes to scratch a maggots belly.

State of the race: whoever can shout their lies the loudest and the most often wins.

*sigh*

Wait, so you're saying for the record that if Obama wins, he's lied the loudest and most often of the two?

Yeah, I'm saying that this will probably be the case.  What were you saying about win at any cost?  Looks like the SOP for campaigns is now "lie your ass off and change the subject before someone can call you on it".  Thanks Karl Rove.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I agree with you across the board there.  I think the point is that while he has to pander to the base as the nominee of the party, he really has not changed his views.  It is fairly standard practice in Presidential elections for the nominee to pick someone that balances the ticket in ideology.

Honestly, both of the candidates (Obama and McCain) have moved right in this election, which really seems odd considering the anti-Bush groundswell.
