On the eve of the Democratic and Republican conventions, Blender polled Barack Obama and John McCain for their top 10 songs. then we enlisted trusted sages Randy Newman and Girl Talk to analyze their picks.

There is no doubt in my mind that those songs are not Barry's favorites.

Each list stinks of somehow, someway, supporting a bid for Prez.  farging politics.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I'm a Barry supporter and I completely agree with Demon. It's a pretty damn good list of songs, but something about it just doesn't seem right. Actually, the big thing that doesn't seem right is that there is no way I could list out my 10 favorite songs in nice neat order and have them cover so many musical genres. But then again no one would ask me in the first place so it's a moot point.

Oh it clearly means that Barry's handlers and political spin miesters are better then McCains surely. At least when it comes down to inane musical questions.

I could probably come up with a list of top 5 favorite songs I suppose but it does change a lot.

You had mine at Margin Walker, but you already knew that.

When I saw Velvet Revolver cover this live, I was very conflicted.  I mean... in many ways, Scott Weiland is superior to Axl Rose.  But shtein, that's an Axl song.

Especially since the song is about his eating habits.

Despite my un-tarnished love of all things Fugazi, I recognize that much of their music is unlistenable to many people. This song, however, is the pinnacle of punk rock for me. I'm completely biased in my opinion because it evokes strong memories of high school, but still, this song farging rules.

Styrofoam was a close second...

Great article in The Atlantic summarizing the insider communications they collected into a complete post-mortem of the Clinton campaign.

She couldn't even manage her top advisers and she wanted to run the country?  It would have been a disaster.  Looks like the same thing might be happening to McCain.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Has this been discussed on here?

More on this...a little more inflammatory and doesn't have the sources that the first link does....but you get the point across more:

Nat'l Enquirer surprising no one, I'd assume, when they say Edwards is the father of this chick's baby

Go ahead and knock the source, but they were right about everything else so far.

I don't really care that he messed around.  What's hilarious to me is that he would admit the affair publicly but likely lie about the time frame and the possibility that he's the baby daddy.  Why not just admit it all at once?

Ha!  In case any of you didn't realize how blatant this was:
QuoteThe weekly also quoted sources close to Hunter saying that Edwards and his mistress choreographed their public tango over a DNA test: he offered to take one last week, she declined to allow it.
