And while the secret service is very aware of this and they do a very thorough job at securing everything within approximately 3 mile radius of where the President will be, the bottom line is that they can make a mistake.  They can miss something. 

Obviously, it's no easy task to pull off.  If it were then I think just about every President in the last 50 years would have been shot.  But to say it's impossible is ignorant and over confident.  And if the Secret Service were to ever claim it's impossible, it would be dangerous. 

i already said someone could kill the president on their own but theres a .000001% chance of it happening and theres a 0.0% chance of a dumb redneck doing it

well its possible the earth could blow up tomorrow...but the fact is no person is getting a gun within firing distance of the president unless his protection allows it to happen....you cant just walk on a presidents parade route without getting searched...nor can you walk into an auditorium where hes speaking

I was in rittenhouse square on July 4 once when president bush's limo/motorcade came within 10 feet of me. And while there were secret service there, I was not searched.
