EDITED:

Polls show McCain beating both Clinton and Obama at about the same pace

Obama is not only the better candidate, he's just as electable against John McCain.

ice grillin you

so we would elect an old white man?

no way

Your assertion that an old white woman would inherently have a better chance against an archaic white man than a younger blackish man would have against the same old fart is absolutely incorrect.

ice grillin you

the black man cant win his own party so by default he has less chance than the white woman

i think its a great achievement that obama has been taken in as much as he has (and hillary)...and altho it doesnt look good for him as far as getting the nomination everything he is doing right now is incredibly important and sets the stage for the future where one day we can have a minority or female president (or both)

you really don't think the dems will win this election?  i can't see any possible way that they can't with the way this country has been going.

Quotelol...George Bush just spent 8 years in the White House...the Red States rule this country, they hate immigrants and gay marriage...i wonder if they care about race

It's not just repubs, what have the dems done for the black community? Almost every big city has been run by the dems for years and the black community in them is better off. The Dems on a whole have not made life better for blacks in this country, other then giving more freebies what have they done to help advance the community? and now a black man is running for the president and the "blackest president" we've ever had is trying his best to rip him to shreds, and even their own party is telling him to knock it off.

And once again with the hate immigrants, come on it's old, I don't want illeagals, who in the republican party has come out against immigration done right and legally?

hes talking about the people who live in red states not the politicians themselves

less red states = more tolerant country

it would be very difficult against an "independant" type like mccain....especially now that the invasion is on the backburner of hot issues

against romney i give the dems a better shot...but until i see otherwise i would be suprised if this country elected a women or black

I've liked McCain since I voted for him in the primary against Bush years ago, so I'm going with him again. I think he's looked the most presidential of the lot and true conservatives think he's a lib anyway but that's more because they're brainwashed zombies.

Don't worry. I know you hippies disagree....

Right now McCain actually has a shot of getting a republican back to the white house after one of the worst presidents in the history of the country which is unreal.

The fact that IGY equates 'red states' with racism and intolerance is enough to make my ass twitch. Being a bigot is not a prerequisite for being a conservative.

As far as McCain goes, 8 years ago I liked him. He was fairly liberal socially and seemed to have his head on straight fiscally. Now, he's a rah rah pro-war douche who has changed his stance on social issues to cater to the right wing nutjobs who decide the presidential candidates. Essentially he sold his soul for a shot at the Republican nomination. farg McCain.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Somewhere in between those two opinions of McCain is the truth.  Speaking of which, what the hell does "looks presidential" mean?  Is that when someone's "ready"?

You are not going to convince him (or Dio) otherwise.  Everyone who believes in any small-government ideals or other conservative ideology is a dumb racists hick.  Get on board, or they may ship you to the south, where all of us racists live.  Maryland, if you hadn't heard is NOT in the south and contains all the tolerant Democrats.

i must have been alseep when places like montana kansas idaho and louisiana became multi cultural highly advanced bastions of tolerance

Your precious allah already had his revenge on Louisiana.

The fact that you even use the word tolerance is laughable.
