its all a moot point anyway...no black man is winning a nomination much less the general election...hillary is the one

even tho i like obamas positions much better than hillary i dont think hes ready yet...theres much better options than her but theres also a ton worse she will be a fine president not unlike her husband regardless of what people think of her personally
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

WTF does that mean?  What does he need to do to be "ready"?  Sit in the Senate for 8 more years?

Obama clearly has a hell of an ability to speak to crowds, his track record is not impressive, but then again this country has survived Bush, and Obama couldnt do worse considering the economy will be on the upswing over the next 14 months

I WANT someone without tons of political experience. It is entirely possible that it will backfire and blow up in our faces, but I'm willing to take that chance right now. I honestly believe that this country is teetering on the brink and the possibility of new blood is the only thing that gives me even a little bit of hope...

perhaps...or four maybe...or maybe a vp slot first

he needs some more seasoning...some more years on the foreign relations comittee would help a lot

you also have to remember he has zero chance to win a general election and i DO NOT want the white house back with the republicans

Couldn't agree more.  Give me someone who hasn't had a chance to develop bad habits yet.

IGY, just because you're obsessed with race doesn't mean that everyone else is.

All of you will vote for her and declare her the better of two evils, and none of you did anything of note to support Obama's campaign, so quit your whining and excuses.

Of the four main canidates left she be 4th on my list.

If Hillary makes it I wonder how long it will take before Bill starts popping interns again.  This could easily be the funniest presidency EVER :-D :-D :-D :-D

phattymatty

for real, if bill's getting some tail on the side, and it comes out, what does hillary do then?  does she stand by her man again, or drop him?

lol...George Bush just spent 8 years in the White House...the Red States rule this country, they hate immigrants and gay marriage...i wonder if they care about race
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

theres only been three blacks since reconstuction in the friggin senate...if you think america is ready to elect a black president youre crazy...its questionable whether or not they are even ready to elect a woman

obama cant win the dem nomination so its silly to think he can win the presidency....mccain would wipe the floor with him

Well I guess we'd better just accept the fact that the lesser of two candidates will get the nod and that she will lose the election then. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

sadly, i agree.

i was boozing with some co-workers from our new orleans office a week or so ago, about my age, seemed like really nice guys, but their views on things like race just blew my mind.  and it wasn't malicious, it's just the way they grew up and the way people are in some parts.  i don't think obama has a real shot either. but i hope i'm wrong.

i think its a great achievement that obama has been taken in as much as he has (and hillary)...and altho it doesnt look good for him as far as getting the nomination everything he is doing right now is incredibly important and sets the stage for the future where one day we can have a minority or female president (or both)

i mean is baffling to me that places like pakistan liberia the phillipines chile mozambique and many others have had or have female presidents and america hasnt...embarrassing isnt the word
