The list of such endorsements is long.  Thousands and thousands of people who have otherwise long been silent on politics have stepped into the political field to announce their opposition to Trump.  Doctors, diplomats, spies, judges, etc. 

Can anyone find a respected body of professionals, or even one highly respected individual, who to this point has remained outside of politics, who was a lifelong Democrat even, that has come forward to endorse Trump?

It's a clever ploy, this "deep state" conspiracy argument:  behave so atrociously that people who were otherwise absent from politics are compelled to step forward, and then use the fact that they've abandoned their politics and professional reserve to allege a conspiracy...the cult eats it up.

But the cult is not growing.  It's winnowing.  Every time a Boyd--this dude was seven years a POW in Vietnam, for farg sake--or a McRaven stands up to say, for the first time in my career, I must object...every time that happens, some votes leave Trump.

I'd love to see a list, by candidate, of endorsements like this.  I can't think of one that has broken for Trump.

I'm not a political animal by any stretch. I've been a registered independent since, well, forever. I don't know if I've posted in this thread...and if I did, it was to make a joke about something stupid. And the party system is incredibly broken. But this election goes beyond politics...I've never seen a more dangerous, divisive, selfish, inept, neglectful, embarrassing, arrogant, ignorant and stupid candidate, and it's not close. This isn't a "I don't like the guy's policies" thing. This is a "wow, are you serious that this guy has actual supporters" thing. It's complete insanity that he even stands a chance. The kool-aid that his supporters lap up must be laced with crack, and they're impossible to talk to. I don't see how anyone can't through this crystal-clear conman. It's maddening.
