I'm not a political animal by any stretch. I've been a registered independent since, well, forever. I don't know if I've posted in this thread...and if I did, it was to make a joke about something stupid. And the party system is incredibly broken. But this election goes beyond politics...I've never seen a more dangerous, divisive, selfish, inept, neglectful, embarrassing, arrogant, ignorant and stupid candidate, and it's not close. This isn't a "I don't like the guy's policies" thing. This is a "wow, are you serious that this guy has actual supporters" thing. It's complete insanity that he even stands a chance. The kool-aid that his supporters lap up must be laced with crack, and they're impossible to talk to. I don't see how anyone can't through this crystal-clear conman. It's maddening.

you dont need to watch msnbc to know trump is a garbage human being...you just need to watch trump

its been mentioned a million times but what it comes down to is that it doesnt matter how awful trump is as a person as long as he hates the people his base think are more awful...brown and black people....libs....powerful women...gay people...etc...he can shoot someone on 5th avenue as long as that person is someone they want dead

Yes, the basic meanness of the man and his followers has been apparent from the beginning.  They cheered when he made fun of a handicapped man, like a 5th grade bully, mocking the guy's physical disability.  They sour on him only when he's "hurting the wrong people," as one so famously said early on in this nightmare.  Even then, he's forgiven.  It's understandable why people talk about Trumpers as a cult.

Although I agree with much the above, let's be real. The left and it's flagship CNN is every bit a news clown car as fox and the right wing teevee medium. If one has a half an ounce of objectivity this should be apparent. I don't consider myself a news hound by any stretch but I don't know how anybody can argue that the news isn't biased and agenda driven. If anybody knows of an exception to this I'd like to hear it because I haven't been able to find neutral reporting in I don't know how long. It's a sad commentary that Al Jazeera might come the closest. In my experience people who are into politics usually have their comfy bubbles and don't take kindly to anything that threaten its, and over the last few years I find libs are more intolerant than their right counterpoints (I'm not including the extreme right hate groups that are just psychopathic abominations). I think to some degree we're all complicit in the current shtein show.
