I don't know if it's been mentioned in here before or not, but there's an Army Veteran in Chicago facing deportation.

Original story and today's update.

Bad hombre!

The GOP replacement for Obamacare is a goddamn joke

Can't wait to hear the Trumpers defend this one

They never wanted it in the first place, so the fact that it's going away is enough to make them happy.  What's replacing it is irrelevant.

The GOP bill isn't a joke, it's a serious bill that only slightly increases the number of people whose lives will be ruined by medical expenses and only slightly decreases taxes on the wealthy.

I mean, given the current state of the GOP, I am literally shocked by the restraint.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I'm pretty sure they could have made a photocopy of the original ACA and taken Obama's name off it and the right would fap all over it.  But making a few subtle changes while leaving it mostly in tact is close enough I guess.

Munson

It's a little worse than that....but it never was going to be THAT bad because it was always going to be ACA-lite...because the ACA is all of their 'best' ideas for health care.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

The ACA is literally a conservative idea.  They want a system built on the free market and private companies, and they talk about personal responsibility and the like, so even the mandate is their idea.

Smarter heads recognize that single payer is the only  reasonable plan, but it's not politically possible so Dems caved and gave us the best they could get.

Now, Republicans are farged because they literally cannot preserve all the popular and necessary provisions and it's all on them.

Those lazy millennial mooches. Why don't they just eat toast every day so they can afford real healthcare? Oh, that one's driving a '93 Dodge Neon instead of walking to work? What a piece of shtein.

The man. The myth. The legend.

When is he up for reelection? Can I send donations to another state for his opponent?
