China has been sticking with Russia so far, but one has to wonder about their relationship.  This disastrous war must be making China regret how closely they have allowed Russia to be connected with China.  Before the war, I could see Russia being a useful partner for energy and regional politics, but now?  Russia has proven to the world not only that it is dangerous to its neighbors and to peaceful order, but also that it is weak and feckless in battle, hardly the fearsome force they claim to be.  Most of the civilized world has shunned and isolated Russia--Switzerland took sides!!  That's gotta make China look around a bit, no?--so now it's like Russia has become a second North Korea to China.

China and India, but China's basically buying up Russian assets for pennies on the dollar. They know where they stand in the world economy, and so far they've done nothing to jeopardize that.

They do have some interest in this fight. If the world had just let Russia annex all of Ukraine, Taiwan was surely next.

The attack near Poland is frightening.   Had it been off target, or something happened, 15 miles from WWIII.  If Putin is willing to risk that, then he's desperate and very dangerous.  He might actually attack a NATO country directly, triggering a mass war event unlike any ever seen before.

I've been wondering for a few days why NATO hasn't building up that whole area with urgency, it's the only thing Putin will understand. And Putin may actually be legit going off his rocker which makes him all the more dangerous.
