It's a pain in the farging ass...but you will get to a point where you feel relief. I don't know if we can completely get rid of it unless we check into physical rehabilitation and become committed to these execises, but at least for half-asses like me, you can get away with arch support, the splint, and stretches.

Like every other ailment I've ever had I ignored this and now it's farging killing me. I can barely walk on it in the morning. So tomorrow I'm going to start some stuff that will add relief. First thing I'm going to do is roll my foot over a water bottle. That's supposed to add some relief.

hbionic

Dude, stop farging around.

1. Get some arch supports in shoes ASAP. Don't wear sandals anymore.

2. Buy two of these (one for each foot).

These two things alone should give you immediate relief. I still get it once in a while...but it's not as bad as when I had it at your stage. The weird part is that keeping your foot relaxed is bad for this...keeping tension helps.

I went to the water store yesterday to fill up my empty water gallons and there was this lady who was buying Alkaline water. I asked her what it was for and she said to drink. She said that our diets are acidic and this helps balance things out. It made sense. She said she used to have really bad back pain and it has gone away ever since she started drinking this stuff.

Anyone else tried drinking alkaline water?

Diomedes

Yeah.  I take it as a chaser after doing shots of battery acid.

None of them are really fads....elevate your heart rate/burn a shtein ton of calories by doing glorified calisthenics.

i have them. i don't do them regularly but it's a pretty intense 45 min workout. lemme know if you want me to upload them somewhere for you.

SunMo

i was going to do insanity but i just didn't feel comfortable.  i don't think it does enough warm up and cool down

i did and am going to start Rushfit again.  i really liked this program.  i have the files that i can send anybody
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Sgt PSN

There's not much to warm up/cool down, which is probably why it doesn't have more in the videos.

Stretch on your own and do some jumping jacks, pushups, etc before starting to get your heart rate up a bit and then do more stretching, walking and/or light jogging, and drink water to cool down.

My buddy watched this documentary called fat, sick and nearly dead. It's some Aussie cat who has some skin condition, is about 100 lbs. overweight, and was taking a bunch of medication. He starts this fruit/veggie juice diet - loses a bunch of weight - and all of his ailments go away. So he decided to buy a juicer and give it a try. He lasted two days. The concept is interesting but farg being miserable while your body detoxes. He was having big time caffeine withdraws.

Dillen

Yeah, vitamins and minerals are the real shtein. Also him being fat, eating a lot of bad foods = hella sweaty = skin condition.

So I'm back in the gym and am struggling to remember my old workout routine. I think I have most of the exercises, but I  believe I'm missing one or two lifts, especially on Monday/Friday. Figured I'd ask some of you super duper experts what you think I might need to add. I wanna say that I think it ignores my shoulders a little bit, so maybe add an upright bench? Or am I ignoring my legs too much by assuming squats and calf raises are all I need?

It's a full body workout that is done in month long phases...this is Phase 1. I'm struggling even more to remember Phase 2, other than remembering that dead lifts were added in here somewhere. I think once I get done this first month of Phase 1, I'm going to have to look for another workout routine. But this program has always been great for toning up my muscles and giving me a good base to start from.

Monday
Bench Press (3 sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Squats (3 sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Lat pull downs (2x10)
Seated rows (2x10) (these and the lat pull downs are done on the circuit machine)
Butterfly pec-dec (2x10)
Upright Z-bar row (2x10)
Calf Raises
Sit ups

Wednesday
Incline Bench (3 sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Front Squats (3sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Lat Pull Down (2x10)
Seated Rows (2x10)
Butterfly pec-dec (2x10)
Reverse Flies (2x10)
One arm dumbbell rows (2x10)
Iron Cross (2x10) (I still don't know if I'm doing it right...learned to just raise my arms up, but now all the websites say you should simultaneously squat down as you pick your arms up?)

Friday
Bench Press (3 sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Squats (3 sets, 2x12, 1x10)
Lat pull downs (2x10)
Seated rows (2x10)
Butterfly pec-dec (2x10)
Upright Z-bar row (2x10)
Calf Raises
Sit ups

So do I need to add anything? Maybe move one of the dumbbell exercises to Monday and Friday?? or add a completely new lift to Mondays and Wednesdays?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
