I've tried various supplements over time, but I never notice enough of a difference to justify the cost or side-effects. These days, I stick to a good multi-vitamin, some extra omega 3 and C.

I am about to start using Jack3d as a PWO supplement. I am dog assed tired at the end of the day and have to fight to find the motivation to go to the gym. Like right now, I've been here for 10 hours and the last thing I want to do is go workout. But I gotta do it.

And I also use the OxyPro thermogenic fat burner as it really blocks my appetite.

New study came out yesterday that too much omega 3 causes prostate cancer:

Too much of anything is bad. Omega 3s are good for your heart and shtein just don't snort it by the gram and you'll be fine.

It doesn't mean omega-3s cause prostate cancer, it just shows there may be an association between the two. 100 percent of convicted murderers drink or have drunk water, but that doesn't mean drinking water will cause you to commit murder. Not a bad chance another study will contradict this one.

Back in February I was diagnosed with a torn ATF ligament in my ankle. Surgery was recommended and I was told to schedule it whenever I felt like it as further damage was unlikely and I only had to deal with the pain tolerance.

After three months of doing 6 days a week (with three of those being a boot camp type class at 24hr Fitness, very high impact) of exercise the pain is starting to become too much. I've been able to deal with it and its now affecting my workouts. I hate to quit and have a setback of 4-6 weeks but I think I am going to try to make it until the beginning of August to have it repaired. That would give me another six weeks before I have to shut it down.

fargin sucks.

Like pretty much anyone else who's ever really worked out, I've had shoulder problems for years. It's never been overbearing, but annoying that it's always there. About a week ago I get to the gym and on the first pullup I do, my rotator cuff flares up horribly. Since then I haven't been able to do anything upper body at all. Any time there's any pressure on my shoulder, either just grabbing a weight off the rack or pulling something from a stop, it kills. It's got to the point where laying on that side of my body in bed, opening and closing the car door hurts. I'm hesitant to get it checked out by the doctor; I recently ran into a shteinload of expensive bills and don't want another if I don't need to. I've taken some anti-inflammatory meds which have helped a little, and I've tried to be left-hand dominant for the past couple days. I've got no problem taking weeks off from the gym if it means it will get better, but I'm pretty much expecting the worst. Real excited for a nice long setback.

That sucks man. Good luck and hopefully they can give you a cortisone shot or something to help it calm down and save you the pain and expenses of going further with treatment.

With any luck, your physical therapist will be hot hot hot and she'll have to lean her titties up against you when she works on your shoulder twice a week for the next five months.

Sounds like it could be a bad case of bursitis. I had a similar problem a few years ago - just not on the level of pain you're experiencing.

I've lost 30lbs since mid January by just not being a fatass.  Taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work, cutting out sugar in coffee, no sodas, and doing stuff around the house/property.  I'm down to 200, still got a gut, but all the fat in my face/arms/legs is gone.  Beer belly is next up.  Have to actually work at that

So I was doing a weight-gain thing and ran through the process for about six weeks. Never worked out more than 3 times a week and was never at the gym for more than 20 minutes. Only did 6 different lifts over the course of the program:

Seated bench: started with 12 reps at 130 lbs, currently at 9 reps at 230.
Shoulder press: started with 12 reps at 65 lbs, currently at 10 reps at 135.
Standing row: started with 13 reps at 50 lbs, currently at 11 reps at 95.
Seated supplimated pull-down: 15 reps 95 lbs, 10 reps 170 lbs.
Leg press: 14 reps at 270 lbs (plus the weight of the sled), 12 reps at 490 lbs (plus the weight of the sled)
Machine stomach crunches: 12 reps at 70 lbs, 14 reps at 130.

Gained 17 pounds (which I've held steady at for 3 weeks by continuing to work out but cutting out the caloric intake) with no noticeable addition of fat that I can see.

Also, I farging shredded my hamstring this week playing lacrosse. If anyone has any tips on faster recovery of muscle injuries I'm all ears. This shtein farging hurts and I'm already sick of it after 48 hours.
