What program did you use to get that kind of gains in such a short period of time?

Tim Ferriss' shtein. It's no joke. The part I left out is that I had to eat an ungodly amount of food to feed the muscle growth. As soon as I cut the calories the rate of increase of weight I could push slowed significantly, though it hasn't fully plateaued yet.

Also, I farging shredded my hamstring this week playing lacrosse. If anyone has any tips on faster recovery of muscle injuries I'm all ears. This shtein farging hurts and I'm already sick of it after 48 hours.

Vitamin A to replenish the immune system. You wreck the immune system after vigorous excercise.

Vitamin E helps decrease the muscle soreness recovery time.

Hydrate and post event meals should consist of a 4:1 ratio of carbs to proteins in order to provide maxium recovery benefits.

Please don't bother us anymore.

Wait so I should be loading up with carbs to assist recovery? That doesn't make sense.

I know...I can send you my paper that I typed for my nutrition class...but basically you use up all the carbs stored in your muscles...so you have to replenish those first.

Then again,  the paper was what advice I would give to a marathon runner before, during, and after in terms of meals, hydration, vitamins, ergogenic aids.

You forgot Orodenker's healing touch.

Beer.

If that doesn't work, and there's no reason why it shouldn't, try Traumeel cream or gel. I use it fairly regularly, sometimes before and after working out and get pretty good results. Some people swear by it and get instant relief though others don't find it helps much. The caveat is ideally you aren't suppose to drink while using it or it could lessen the effectiveness, and it costs about $20 a tube. Totally worth it though for me.

You can drink, it just may not work as well. If you black out you won't remember anyway.

So I was doing a weight-gain thing and ran through the process for about six weeks. Never worked out more than 3 times a week and was never at the gym for more than 20 minutes. Only did 6 different lifts over the course of the program:

Gained 17 pounds (which I've held steady at for 3 weeks by continuing to work out but cutting out the caloric intake) with no noticeable addition of fat that I can see.
That's insane. Sometimes when I have a real busy schedule and I'm pressed for time, I'll go and do only deadlifts, squats, and bench. I haven't done that in a long time, and never for an extended period like 6 weeks straight. The compound exercises like those, and the ones you did, build you up quick when you do them together.

I think I'm gonna look into this some more. I've never really cared about weight gain because putting on weight that is purely muscle has always been difficult for me, and I don't want to put on weight just for the sake of it. That being sad, I'm still lanky at 6'2" and my workouts have gotten stale so I'll change it up once my shoulder stops farging itself.
