That might be gayer than the Eagles losing to the Bears like they did.

Nope, but it looks interesting.

On the site they have a place listed here in Houston pretty close to home and work. I may have to check it out. Have you done it?

I wanted to give it a try but my back is so farged up I have to take baby steps and ease my way back. My uncle (you know him, he comes to games with me) does it and a bunch of other people swear it's the greatest thing ever. We've all been brought up watching pumping iron and thinking eating big, lifting big, then doing repetitive cardio is the best way to train. This essentially combines all of that into different motions. My other uncle (race car driver) was 260 and went down to 225 in 2-3 months on that program.

A buddy of mine in my unit is really into that Cross Fit, he swears by it.  He is one of those guys that looks like a fat ass but is in pretty damn good shape.  While the results haven't shown aesthetically for him, it certainly has for as far as his endurance goes.  He actually plans on opening a gym for that type of training when we get back.

For me I am doing a typical weight training regiment and the results have been very good as of late.  If only I could eat a little better, though it is real tough over here.

I may give it a shot. I was thinking about it today while trudging away on the elliptical. As addicted as I am to staying in shape now, I have to avoid the boredom. I'm not trying to get jacked. I just want to be 220-225.

When I dropped all the weight in 2007 I did 6 days a week at the gym for at least 90 mins a day. Same excercises, same routine each day. Same strict diet. It got really boring.

With weights you want to switch it up as much as possible. Muscle has really good memory and the more you switch it up the better results you'll see. People get obsessed with stuff like how much they can bench but for the overall development of the muscle it's good to mix in incline, dumbells, push ups, flies, decline etc.

Yeah, I am guilty of not being creative.

I don't lift heavy. Even if I wanted to, I could not. Between my wrist and my shoulder, range of motion and strength is pure shtein.

I use dumb bells and cables. That's all for upper body. I used to use the Smith machine free weights, but my apartment gym doesn't have one. So I switched to DB's. I read that the instability of the DB's and cables helps the peripheral muscle groups and not just the target muscle groups.

Anyone ever use heavy bag for workout? I've joined gyms before and they bore me to no end, I can't get into a routine. Starting to research punching/kicking bag routines. seems like a fun way to shed some pounds at home.

I used to really like working the heavy bag.  Speed bag is a lot of fun, too.  If you're going to do one, it feels great to incorporate the other.

I stopped running and going to the gym about 6 weeks ago. I am making my triumphant return this week. I've gained zero pounds in the mean time but I'm squishy everywhere. Gross.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I need to look up proper taping techniques for hands. Don't need to break anything

I got lazy the last few months of the year and basically quit going and ate a lot of garbage. We're having a competition at work, 20 buy in, to see who loses the most by March. I just got done a 90 minute workout and I'm mad that I got so lazy the last few months.

PoopyfaceMcGee

The Wii Fit said I needed to lose at least 5-10 pounds.  I haven't used that farger since.

rjs246

Hahahaha. Excerising with a video game. What the farg is wrong with humanity?
