yea i don't have a background in martial arts, ha. i think wrist tape is a good idea instead of sprained wrist. i don't think its about if your wrist are strong or not, its technique. if you hit the bag at a bad angle with enough force, you can farg up your wrist. i think with time ill get away from it but don't want to risk any injury right now.

bought a wave master standing training bag tonight and got nice gloves with built in wrist protection. i just hope it withstands the awesome power i'm about to unleash on it

If you end up getting into that, you should look into the speed bag.  Once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun.

well i was really surprised how much of a workout it can be. after 20 minutes i was gasping. my hands and wrists seem fine, my legs and left shoulder were what got cramped up first.
i must be a natural south paw because i feel more comfortable with my strong arm jabbing. i bat left and throw right so this has a lot to do with it.

the more I look into and learn about working out, weight loss, etc...it intrigues me. I wish I would of known half this stuff years ago when I went to gym. I was never the type of guy who needed to gain weight, I have problems keeping it off. Got this Mens Health book that really dissects a lot of things and its starting to make sense. Hopefully I can stick to this program(weight lifting mostly) and loose around 40 lbs by month 6. I think I can stick to diet, its just the working out hard an effectively that I'm sort of sketchy about. Good thing is I have a workout partner and I think that's going to help big time.
