Waking up this morning and hearing this news gave me wood.

I think Holmgren is a temporary situation.

I think Holmgren is a temporary situation.

Snider all but said that and Clarke said Holmgren's been basically running the team as the GM for the past year.

Missed most of the PC....so I didn't hear that

Clarkie said that he would've resigned even if the team was winning. He said he was done and just didn't have it anymore.

So how will Stevens do as the HC? Will it even matter?

Snider said Stevens is the new coach and they are not evaluating that position anymore and that he's the answer. Regarding Holmgren he said he hasn't had a chance to sit down with him but in the coming weeks he will and made it sound like its a temporary thing. Holmgren was Hartfords GM and was awful.

I know that, but in fairness, he was a tad wet behind the ears at that point.

that said, I don't think he's any better than clarke

I can't stand Clarke but I'd rather have him as the GM than Holmgren. And the fact that Holmgren's been making the moves for the past year doesn't speak much for him.

Everytime someone refers to Ed as 'Mr. Snider' I can't help but to think of the taterskins. Maybe it fits since we were turning into the Skins of the Hockey world. If Shero wasn't dead maybe we'd bring him back as coach.
