Nice little story they just did on a kid from NY who has sickle cell anemia and got to spend a day with the Eagles during training camp.  I hate seeing kids with illnesses that will most likely kill them when there are so many adults who deserve early death.

Man, even a insensitive prick like myself thinks that one is a good story.  I guess if I really wanted to be a cynic I could see the sickening part to it.

It's not a matter of cynicism.  It's a matter of taste.  TV producers have none.  It's a miracle that the story had any heart at all, and what heart it had was provided by the kid and the players.  The TV people farged all the rest of it up, as they always do, with their stupid sentimental crap.
