Not sure why anyone would think 900 or so yards is out of the question with stallworth.  i wouldn't put money on it, but it's really not all that much.  it just seems to be a massive number since we don't ever have any good WRs.

shtein, westbrook and pinky both had about 700 yards 2 years ago, and that was with TO there.

Great. You can sit here and talk all day with MDS and PhillyGirl. :yay

I hear Bunkley78 is only 4'9", but he'll probably have a growth spurt when he hits puberty. Does that count?

You're completely ignoring everything I just said, aren't you?

THIS COACH/QUARTERBACK/TEAM TAKE PRIDE IN SPREADING THE BALL AROUND. THAT IS WHY THE ONLY PLAYER WHO EVER BROKE 1000 YARDS IN THE OFFENSE WAS THE ONLY PLAYER WHO HAD HIS OWN BOOK OF PLAYS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR HIM. NO ONE ELSE HAS CRACKED 1000 YARDS OR 950 OR 900 FOR THAT MATTER. AND NOW THAT THEY'VE BROUGHT IN A NON-SUPERSTAR PLAYER WHO HAS NEVER HAD 1000 YARDS, IS ALWAYS HURT AND HAS ONLY CRACKED 900 YARDS ONCE, HE'S GOING TO SOMEHOW GET 1000 YARDS THIS YEAR?

Everyone wants to believe that this trade will work out well, and I think it will, but jesus put a collar on it.

The reason that most receivers on the Eagles haven't gotten 950 yards in the past is because they've sucked.

Stallworth doesn't suck.  He's an elite player.  He's a veteran.  He's playing with McNabb now instead of a stiff like Aaron Brooks.  The fact that the Eagles have weapons like Westbrook, L.J. Smith & Reggie Brown means that he won't face doubleteams all the time, so he'll have ample opportunties to make big plays.

All that leads me to believe that he'll reach the modest total of 950 yards this season.

I'm not saying he'll have 1,400 yards receiving.  That would be ludicrous.  I'm saying that 60 yards per game from a receiver who is projected to be the #1 guy and who also has more speed and talent than any other receiver in the Reid era (other than Owens) isn't unreasonable.

Preposterous.  Stallworth will never catch 60 yards per game in this offense!

An elite player who has never had 1000 yards? Or 9 TDs? Yeah. Sounds really elite.

He's a good player with a ton of talent who will help this team tremendously, and if he cracks 1000 yards I'll be happy as a pig in shtein, but give me a break with all of this. Part of the reason its so unlikely is the very same reason that both pinkston and westbrook had 700+ two years ago. This team spreads the wealth. I don't for one second see how any of this adds up to Stallworth having the best year of his career.

He's improved a shteinload every single year for the last 3 years. That's the only logic I see in that, he could be elite based on his progression. He sure as hell isnt elite now.

I'm still holding out for five guys with 600 yards or more this season. That, I think, is doable.

A player who has never had 1000 yards receiving
+   A team that has only had one receiver reach 1000 yards (the best receiver in the league)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1000 yard season for said player.

Obviously.

I dont think that'll happen unless the 3rd WR does well when they play the majority of the snaps in the first couple of weeks before Stallworth starts the entire year.

Brown, Smith, Stallworth and Westbrook will all probably be between 600-900.

Split the difference, give me 300 from Baskett and our second TE.
