Don't forget Buck and his 1 ypc average and 48 yard pass reception.

His longest gain was 2 yards... wow, that just terrible. Is he at least running with authority? Hitting the holes hard and with power?

I'll have to look at the tape later, but it looks like the holes haven't been there for Buck. It's as much the blocking, as it is his skills

That's the thing.  He hasn't really had too many holes to exploit.

DTs getting handled, WRs not getting open, Mahe alive, JR Reid done, Donovan = fixed

Oh yeah, LJ Smith is playing a little bit too. I think he'll approach, if not surpass 80 catches this year.

Buckhalter is hitting the holes...but there really havn't been holes for him to hit, from my observations...The O-Line isn't doing as good a job run blocking, at least not for a back like a Buckhalter (a power back with no cut backs...or knees). Mahe did pretty good hitting the cut back lanes.

IGY, pay attention here. That's what I believe Beermonkey was referring to. If RENO FRIGGIN MAHE is hitting the cut back lanes well, what do you think guys like Westbrook and Moats would do to those cut back lanes?

To quote you earlier...do you know anything about football?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

ice grillin you

The Ravens have arguably the best secondary in the league

so do the eagles but somehow derrick mason had seven catches....its the difference btwn a veteran #1 wr and a second year #2 (maybe)
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

3 step drops + short slant patterns = completions

That's all McNair has been doing... and he's still getting hit.

I suspect they're playing a lot of zone and soft coverage. The Ravens are eating up the slack they're getting.

3 step drops + short slant patterns + 29 yard cushions= completions

fixed

General_Failure

It was barely 20 yards of cushion.

Munson

Yeah the defense is frustrating me with all the zone and shtein. Those 3 step drop-pass underneath throws are just...frustrating.

But it is only preseason, so hopefully all this zone is just JJ being soft.

lolol...mahe one more carry than he had fumbles...but he was doing a good job hitting the cut back lanes...he had ONE nice run...and that equates to all kinds of cut back lanes all year and thus the eagles offense will be great

what do you think guys like Westbrook and Moats would do to those cut back lanes?

i dont even know who moats is yet...as for westbrook i think he will do better than mahe in any lanes.....a lot better....still not sure what your point is...that westbrook>mahe?

Yup, way too much zone tonight. JJ uses a soft zone a lot in preseason but it looks like there's a case of amnesia here tonight.

that still doesn't explain the DTs getting handled.  the Ravens are running up the middle on the with ease
