Last seasons Masterchef runner up named Josh went crazy;

A top contender on "MasterChef" had a bizarre, violent encounter with cops in Chicago ... telling them Gordon Ramsay is an "a-hole" who possessed his body and then transformed him into God ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... a University of Chicago cop spotted Josh Marks nearby the campus on Monday  He was trying to use a University emergency phone and had obvious cuts on his face.  We're told the cop asked Marks if anything was wrong, and Marks then lunged at him, striking him with a closed fist and then tried to grab his gun.

Our sources say the cop and two other officers tried to subdue the 26-year-old, 7'2" tall culinary runner-up ... to no avail.  They batoned and pepper sprayed him but it had no effect.  Marks broke free and started running.  Five cops subdued him in a resident's backyard.

Marks was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries.  We're told once in custody an officer asked him why he went off the rails, and he blamed it all on Gordon Ramsay.  Shockingly, we're told there was no evidence of drug use.

We're told doctors discovered bullet fragments in Marks' face from an unrelated incident.

Marks remains in the hospital, chained to a bed.  He's been charged with aggravated battery on a peace officer and attempting to disarm a peace officer -- both felonies.  If convicted, he faces a max of 14 years in prison.

This is especially true among people who prefer The Wire. There's never been a more obstinate fan base than that of The Wire; it's a secular cult that refuses to accept any argument that doesn't classify The Wire as the greatest artistic endeavor in television history. It's almost as if these people secretly believe this show actually happened, and that criticizing the storyline is like mocking an episode of Frontline. This was not a documentary about Baltimore: Wallace is not alive and playing high school football in Texas, Stringer Bell was not reincarnated as a Pennsylvania paper salesman, and you are not qualified to lecture on inner-city education because you own Season 4 on DVD. The citizens on that show were nonexistent composites, and the events you watched did not occur. As a society, we must learn to accept this.

He might spontaneously combust if he reads this.

Excited for the final 8 episodes.   Thought the first half of the season was kinda meh.

Does anyone actually think Friends was 'groundbreaking'?? I enjoy it/get a laugh out of it, and I know a lot of people who are fans, but I don't think anyone has ever accused it of being 'groundbreaking'...they just had a good mix of characters, decent actors, and decent writing.

Plus, they did a lot of shtein that white people love.

exactly. BB is an edge of your set implausible thriller. its always raising the stakes, putting its characters in compromising ordeals and always goes for the theatrical home run (gus' death, the cousins needing the special ax to kill hank, etc.). those scenes make it great but make it tv.

And it doesn't do those things nearly as well as The Shield did, but still better than a lot of shows in the Implausible Bullshtein genre.

bb does entertainment as good as anything on tv ever has...and theres nothing wrong with that....i agree its overrated  by people who thinks its anything more than that

referencing the shield took the words right out of my keyboard....everytime i watch bb i am waiting for vic mackey to appear....they are different but at the same time i feel like im watching the same show
