The main reason I didn't watch it is that I don't have HBO.  I know you can get it in other ways now, but it just hasn't interested me enough to make the effort.  That may be partially because of all the attention/acclaim/fanboy mixture it's gotten.  I can get like igy is with McNabb on that stuff.

Honestly, I don't watch many shows.  When I do, I tend to go retro - and I tend to spend more time looking at cars and backgrounds of the shows than I do paying attention to the storyline.  But I try to limit my time on TV, and 95%+ of my TV watching is sports.

It was on at 10 after the soprano's.  Sopranos was always at 9pm.  My old man,brother, and I added it to our Sunday schedule after the first episode.  Watching my dad trying to figure out the lingo was hilarious.

I've definitely never seen anyone go on and on about how amazing The Wire is until I wished they were dead. No sir. Or Lost, Firefly, Breaking Bad, Battlestar Galactica, Dexter, Star Trek, Seinfeld, Star Wars, or the Sopranos.

that's cause you are a nerd and love those shows or they just aren't that good so why would anyone go crazy about them....and lol at not thinking Seinfeld doesn't have the same fervor from its fans....it seems like comedies are the ones that do....arrested development is the same way...the difference is they are comedies and they can never be put on the same level as a drama

I was in college during the early 1990s when one of the 59 billion Star Trek movies came out.  The Trekkies took over the common area an entire week before the movie came out and played every movie they had made to that point.  Over.  And over.  And over again.  Haven't watched a movie or episode of anything Star Trek since then.
