Quote from: Munson on April 12, 2010, 04:18:43 PMI figured Stewart/Colbert would be the mid 20's demographic. farg me right.

In order to have the average viewer age in the mid 20's.....

Think about it a minute.  You know millions of grown ups watch it.  So what....you think millions of 11 year olds are watching too?

No I figured millions of 18-24 year olds watch it. Didn't really think they were that big with the older crowd.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

he barely gets over a million viewers

just stop talking please. leave this to me and me alone.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't think anyone has any problems with leaving nerdy anti-social loser hobbies like D&D, action figure collections, and tv rating obsessions to you.

Been watching Pawn Stars when it's on, the stuff that gets brought into their shop is pretty cool.

Seabiscuit36

Deadliest Catch starts tonight, should be an interesting season with Phil dead

I just caught an episode of that this weekend. I guess it helps them to be in Vegas.

Despite my steadfast refusal to watch TV shows when they air or otherwise let television dictate any part of my social life, I actually agree. There are a ton of great dramas on right now and even the shows that are just 'ok' are usually better than anything I remember seeing before. I'm willfully ignoring them because farg television, but it seems that whenever I catch an episode of something new I end up enjoying it which was definitely not the case 5 or 6 years ago.

i've noticed that since getting the dvr, i watch more tv than i used to since i don't have to worry about missing an episode.  but there's still only a select few shows that i make it a point of recording if i'm not able to catch them when they air.

flash forward is the "drama" that i'm hooked on, although the show seems to be getting even less realistic as it goes on.  which is amazing considering that it's a completely unbelievable story line to begin with.  but i'm going to stick with it for the time being and hope that it's just in a little funk and can pull me back in.

modern family keeps getting better and better.  farg that show is hilarious.  it started out as a guilty pleasure but now i don't give a farg.  it's an absolute riot and if you disagree then you are a sad, miserable person.

i think those are pretty much the only 2 shows that i have myself "chained" to.  well, them and i try to watch jeopardy as much as possible too.  but i don't dvr it if i'm not going to be home to watch.

in an effort to be a good boyfriend, i've spent the last 2 years suffering through grey's anatomy with my savage because it's her favorite show.  but i think i found a suitable compromise.  V.  it's not great but it's not horrible either and my g/f loves it.  so i figure if i cuddle up with her on the couch and watch V, i think i can finally stop watching grey's.

Lost is the only show I watch regularly but never when it actually airs. I'm in the middle of The Wire and have seen every episode of Weeds on DVD. All are excellent. I could rattle off a few others that I catch and enjoy every now and then but I'm already bored with this post. No one cares.

Justified is one of my favorite shows on tv right now.
