Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ah, the Japanese were looked at completely different from the Germans.  The Germans weren't as savage, and didn't wage war the dirty way that the Imperial Army and Navy did.  The Japanese soldiers had no code other than to kill the enemy at all costs.  Whether it be by strapping grenades to themselves, setting traps, and the worst cases of mass torture against soldiers.

Just ask the Koreans, Chinese and Filipino WWII era on their feelings towards the Japanese.  The Japanese Army was beyond brutal.  The travesties committed in Manchuria, Nanking, Korea and the Philippine Islands were unfathomable.

I have really enjoyed the first two episodes of The Pacific.  Just saw "Bridge on The Rive Kwai" the other night for the umpteenth time.  Absolutely awesome movie.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

The Inbetweeners on BBC America is funny as shtein. I usually watch Top Gear, and it comes on just after that.
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

The new show "Ugly Americans" that came on after South Park wasn't too bad either. It looks like a cartoon that I'd hate but it made me laugh out loud a few times.

Archer makes me laugh. And I think I might have gotten Matt into this past weekend. Nice that it constantly comes on late night when I'm drunk since FX has nothing else to air. Good drunken nonsense TV.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i like Archer a lot.  "that chick was like the Pele of Anal"

The Pacific is pretty good. I checked out the first two episodes tonight.

I saw previews for Simon's Treme and some other show with Buschemi made by Scorsese. They both look really good.

early reviews on treme are thats great but different than the wire.

bucemi show is boardwalk empire. scorsece directed pilot. no one has seen it but id imagine its gonna be $$

Treme better be different.  Why do I want to see The Wire in New Orleans?  The Wire is about Baltimore.

so saul goodman is possibly one of my favorite characters of all time.  was a bit skeptical at first but he definitely makes the show better.  season 3 has started out better than either of the first two seasons, which is really saying something.  and skylar's boobs are amazing this year.
