crazy good fargo opener

fargo...manhattan...leftovers trifecta has to be as good as its ever gotten for three shows playing at the same time

im 3 eps into fargo...as many as have aired...and its just terrific. possibly better than last year. i never realized how terrific kirsten dunsts tits were. hello.

havent started the leftovers yet, but word on the street is amazing

sending out an official mds recommendation to the charmichael show. it aired over the summer on nbc, 6 episodes. its really funny. im through 4 now. has an all in the family vibe to it, except the family is black and the main character is the son. they talk about race, gender, culture, etc. first good use of david alan grier, possibly ever. got picked up for a 2nd season. critics were high on it. worth a looksee for something easy and digestible.

one correction! TWD's ratings are actually up y2y. the live rating, probably the one i saw, might have been down. but with dvr playback and all that, its up 1 million vs. 2014. this thing is going to last 100 seasons.

manhatten is like a much better version of the americans...or like mad men but replace the office building with los alamos

New Star Trek Series Premieres January 2017

CBS Television Studios announced today it will launch a totally new Star Trek television series in January 2017. The new series will blast off with a special preview broadcast on the CBS Television Network. The premiere episode and all subsequent first-run episodes will then be available exclusively in the United States on CBS All Access, the Network's digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service.

The brand-new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.

It'll probably suck.

They're putting it on CBS's version of Netflix because they know Star Trek nerds are pathetic enough to pay to watch it.   I've seen every episode of all the series, so I certainly qualify as a nerd, but there's no way I'm paying to watch it especially considering who's helming the show and the fact that it's a CBS product.

i dont understand why cbs has an OTT (over the top) streaming product

its a broadcast network that is available free. they dont need to do things like this to survive. everyone in the country with an antenna or wifi should be able to watch a entity using the public airwaves to broadcast.

I literally couldn't disagree with you more, Sean.   It was by far the best acted, best written and held the darkest and most realistic vision of the future in the ST universe.
