TWD has been great this season.  The Glenn shtein was coming and they found a great way to farg with the expectations of the fans of the show and the graphic novels.

SD

I thought the Morgan episode was one of the best this season. Overall this season has been subpar. The Glenn shtein is lame. If they kill him off its a stupid death for one of the most popular characters if they don't kill him off the dumpster crawl explanation is stupid.

MDS

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'd have actually liked a 2 episode piece on Morgan. I know it's not possible because the season is so short and there's more things that need to be addressed, but I also thought that was a great episode.

Rome

There's more coming about Morgan.

In terms of Glenn, the best parallel I can draw is the Sopranos ending.  People lost their farging shtein over that but it was incredibly memorable.  More to the point, Chase didn't give one farg if the fans liked it or the critics respected it.  He did what he wanted and I have a feeling that's what Gimple is exploring with the Glenn character.  How far can he kick the shtein out of the audience and push their expectations before they revolt and stop watching?  I mean, yes, it appears to be trite and lame, but what if what they've constructed is completely different?  Reading the comments from the cast leads me to believe that what they've cooked up is legitimately original.  Maybe it's not and maybe we'll all be disappointed, but TWD is one of only a couple of shows I still watch regularly because almost everything else on television is pure predictably formulaic shtein.

The Abraham/Sasha moment was a total surprise this week, btw.  I laughed out loud at it because it's so freaking absurd, but I still loved it.

I started watching Fargo this week (season 2, haven't watched season 1 and it costs $ on demand so I'm doing s2 first), and am four episodes in.   It's excellent.  Mike Milligan is awesome.

Susquehanna Birder

His bit in the most recent episode was outstanding.

I want to believe that he's still alive....that Nicholas landed on top of him and he just slid under the dumpster

So this happened.

And I hope that one  kid (I forget his name) puts one in the back of Coral's dome. Aside from the fact that hes a really bad actor, his character is a flamming douchebag and is not necessary for the groups survival. He's the new Lori and he needs to go.

SD

They all need to go. I don't even know why I watch anymore. The stupid tower falls...really? At least in the graphic novels a small piece gives away from the wall from so many walkers pushing on it. That's plausible.

Susquehanna Birder

Yeah, with everything going on, they could have done it that way.

There really was no suspense about the collapse happening. Pretty dumb way to portray it.

ice grillin you

i havent watched either but sepinwell said the leftovers and walking dead both dealt with potential deaths of major characters last night...leftovers hit it out of the park and walking dead was terrible....not really suprising considering the quality of the two shows but according to him the differences couldnt have been more different
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

The show is about zombies taking over the planet.  As matty pointed out early few pages back....2 people took a van off a bridge and dropped like 50 feet with no injuries.  They found a perfectly fitting prosthetic leg while living in a prison.  A small group of people had nothing but a bunch of RVs and a tank.  A guy just lived under a dumpster after falling in a pit of zombies.  But the plausibility of a tower falling after it was struck by a semi is the part you can't beleive.

SD

All of that stuff is awful too. The tower is just added awfulness since they easily could have had the wall break same as they did in the books. It was dumb and forced.

Rome

Having trouble with suspension of disbelief over plot points in a show about a zombie apocalypse is truly hilarious, fellas.

Rome

And the more absurd it gets, the better.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing comic book nerds flip their wigs over shtein like that.

Just accept that it's a goofy soap opera or stop watching it, already.
