Don Ho

Agreed the season finale of Madmen was very good.  Don falling all apart.  Betty finally looking hot again.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

could have told you it was going to be good without a review....fx's batting average is better than ted williams

only wish they had done this on the mcallen/reynosa border. WHAT UP THAT MY TOWN
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Don Ho

Thanks J!  Series premier tonight, will definitely watch.

Did anyone watch the Bridge?  Watched it last night.  Average.  I guess I was expecting more.  Interesting little plot though.

Yeah I thought it was pretty good. They're gonna develop the story lines so I think it'll be slowish in the beginning.

Sepinwall said that he believes they're going for a Wire type deal where they show all aspects of the border cities. I'm cool with that.

Bow-wow! A new TV channel just for dogs

QuoteOn Aug. 1, DirecTV will launch the DogTV network, which has programming specifically produced for pups.

Fido can chill out in front of a TV screen that shows continuous three- to five-minute videos of "relaxing" content such as landscapes and "stimulating" content such as dogs running.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Tomahawk

PBS has been airing some excellent shows by Ken Burns...caught one last night about Lewis and Clark. Did you know that 38 of the 40 members of the expedition got a shtein-ton of land. Of the two that did not, one died during the trip and the other was Clark's slave. A year or so after they returned, Clark had the audacity to call his slave, York, uppity because he asked for his freedom as payment of his services. At least after 5 years, York was granted his freedom.

It might be an incorrect legend, but I remember reading that they had the expedition vote on whether to take acertain path or not, and the slave was allowed to vote

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
